Thanks for the info. Just getting ready to install one and gathering as much info as possible. seems like one modification just leads to other trouble and more modification...
I have been doing a lot of seaching and reading on installing an SYE on my cherokee. One question that I still have is: will shimming my axle to properly align the drive shaft cause stress on the shock mounts and premature wear? thanks
Thanks for the info all. The link looks good, found a number of backing plates for sale on the site. that seems to be the part most difficult to come by. Haven't ordered anything yet but will be calling them when they are open. Anyone have any idea about the leafspring eyes?
I have been doing a lot of searching about rear disc brake conversion for the XJ. i have a 2000 classic with the 8.25 that is in need of a rear brake job, and thought it would be good to upgrade to discs if i could do it cheep. Every thing I read is to use ZJ rear discs with slight...

I have a similar problem. Just wondering is it possible to fix the Cherokee seat instead of swapping in Grand Cherokee seats. My drivers seat makes a popping/clunking sound when I stop or accelerate, and you can feel the seat move slightly. I have looked for something loose but it is very hard...
2000 xj sport, has a hard time starting, takes two or three tries. But only after towing. even after a short tow but when the engine is working hard. shift lever in 3. This does not happen on normal drives. but will still happen after towing and then sitting for a couple hours. Any Ideas?
Hey everyone,
I am new to the site. I have read most of the rear leaf threads but still have questions.
First of all, I have a 2000 classic with selec-trac(full time 4x4 option). It is still sitting pretty level but I would like avoid the inevitable sag.
I am thinking Quadratech HD rear...
Just wondering of all the people who have installed the quadratech HD's, have you had vibration problems? and Do any of you have the full time four wheel drive option? Is there a difference in vibration problems with the quadra trac and selec trac options? thanks in advance
