Yodels.
I just moved here from Colorado. Literally. Arrived this past Monday to the Everett area.
I've been wanting to move here for the past 15 or so years, and now I'm here.
I am looking for a stealership so I can fix the ignition switch on my 85 XJ. Where are they? Can't find them in the...
I need to replace the ignition switch on the lower part of the steering column on my 85 XJ, non-tilt steering. The switch is jamming so it's time for a new one.
I am having a hard time locating the screws so I can remove it and replace it.
Any advice would be helpful.
Hey.
I posted this in OEM Tech but not getting any answers.
I have to replace the actual ignition swith assembly in my 85 and am trying to take off the cover. I have all the bolts removed and it will come out about 3 inches but then seems to jam. Am I missing something?
There's a rod going...
Need to remove the covers on my 85s steering column to replace the ignition switch.
Have the steering wheel, indicator cam, and top cover, but cannot remove any farther due to wiring.
Do I need to remove the whole column to replace the switch?
If so, what bolt do I need to remove? This is...
How do you fix/disable the parking locking mechanism on the steering column?
Mine jammed this morning and the locking cylinder broke so I can't start it.
I know you have to remove the steering wheel, remove the tun signal indicator cam assembly so get to the lock cylinder, but how can I...
So I too the beast in for a rotate and balance. I asked the mechanic to check my front suspension to see if I had any loose parts. He showed how loose my left side ball joints were. So I need to replace them. I am pretty sure it's also why my camber is 6* off. They are LOOSE.
Any advice? Parts...
Ok.
I have an 85 carbureted Jeep. Originally w/the 2.8.
I ordered a new sending unit and new tank. The tank I got is different than the one I have. My old one has a top mounted sending unit and the new one has it on the front side of the tank. The sending unit I got is for the top mounted one...
Easy? Difficult? Mine is rusty and the p/u tube has holes.
I have a new tank and sending/pick-up unit on order.
Any where I can find directions?
Thanks

I need the names and number of junk yards in the CoSprings area.
Especially any in Yoder or Ellicot on 94.
Thanks

Yo Gang,
Looking for a driver's side window for an 85 with manual crank. It has the vent.
Looking for a good used one, or a new one.
PM me or send me an e-mail at [email protected].
Thanks
So I just finished installing a new camshaft and got the beast rolling with lots of nice power and a deep throaty sound with a completely new exhaust system.
Now the damn thing developed a crunching and popping noise in my left rear brakes or axel. It's worse when moving in reverse and is fine...

Anyone here know how I can remove a stuck harmonic balancer?
I was thinking of using a torch to heat it up and possibly create a little play so I can pull it off. It has to be done so I can change the cam out.
My last question never posted. :compwork:
Here it is again:
My harmonic balancer appears to be jammed or something. It's not budging. :gonnablow
I'm using a puller I've used on it before and have used on other engines. It just won't move.
Any suggestions? Besides :explosion
Thanks.
