    Misfires, A Ghost Story.

Ok, there was a service bulliten about this misfire thing. Appearently it just may be one can of mopar combustion clearner, and 12 valve springs. With any luck, you can get a copy of this from your favorite Jeep dealer, and either give it to your mechanic, or do it at home. Either way, this has...

    Misfires, A Ghost Story.

This is getting interesting, I too have a 96, and its throwing the same missfire code, PO300, and 302. Changed the cap and rotor, then put Champion plugs back in, and had those Bosch 4 prong plugs. The codes stopped for a little bit, then came back. Tomorrow I'll try some plug wires.Whatever I...

Urgent-disc brake locked up and im a dummy

The good news is that you should always replace pads l&r side when doing brakes. The bad news is that if you do have 4wheel drive, those bearings are not a sevice item. If there is play in it, or making some noises, it must be replaced. They run about 140-160 each side, and you'll need a 13 mm...

    Musicians?

Most do that dont start in r&r, c&w, folk, basic blues, and any offshoot thereof. If you learn to read a bit, and get really good with chords, you'll be lightyears ahead of many including some that actually get paid for what they do!

    Musicians?

Look at it this way, there are many Xj owners that never held a wrench with any seriousness. With some desire, and maybe some prodding, they began to get involved in projects they never dreamed of doing and it actually worked out for them.In a way music is the same. Learn how to do it right the...

    Musicians?

Picking up a guitar, learning a few chords to sit around the campfire, and sing some songs is fine. Like anything else, you get to a point where either you settle for what you can do, or relize its time to move on, and get somewhat more serious, shed the capo, and chop some wood. Basicly theres...

If you were to build a rock racer.........

Wht not find a rolled Tj, lengthen the rails, and attach the Xj to the chassis? Then throw in the cummins, with Dana 70 axles, with some kind of 40 tire, and just lumber over everything. Better yet, outfit it with those trax on each cornner. I doubt there would be very little you couldnt go over!

I Increased My XJ Gas Mileage To Over 20 MPG

When my Xj was brand new in '96 it too got that low to mid 20's on the hiway. Ever since I began lifting it, bigger tires, and such, it has settled on 15-16 mpg's. tune ups always help a bit, but eventually the numbers fall off.

    STRANDED AT WORK battery/charging system

No matter what you use for the battery, You bought the Xj with a charging problem, and didnt check a thing. gauges dont always tell the truth, Dead batteries usually never smell, but overcooked, overcharged batteries do. 23 Gallon Fuel Tank

There might be somebody out there that makes an aftermarket tank that holds around 30 gallons, but that will cost you dearly, and to fill it another 30 bucks. For all that it would cost, I dont think it would be worth it.Try a 5 gal. jerry can on the outside of your rig.
