Interestingly enough, I recently bought a 2004 WJ and have a similar button in a similar location that looks to have been wired to aftermarket driving lights that are under the front bumper.
PM's responded too.
Just to clarify about the trailer comment, work is transferring me to Phoenix, AZ. I get to help open a new location, and I start on the 16th. Have had just about two weeks notice, so I've been just a little busy.
Still available, until the 11th when I have to move. I'd rather not have to trailer it. Flexible on price as I don't want to deal with the rabble on Craigs List. Plus, I would rather see this go to someone who wants to wheel.
My aversion to CL could be your gain!

Re: The Colorado BS thread
So Pull-n-Save in Aurora is 1/2 price this weekend. Checked it out this afternoon, the XJ's have been pretty picked over but there were several Grands there if someone is looking to pick up the parts to do a rear disc swap.
Of the XJ's, one '99 that was hit hard...
Yeah, that was my fault. That's me in the green sweat shirt, and I spotted her at a bad angle. I also misjudged the depth of the sand under the rear passenger tire.
All true, probably not funny. So here's my list.
1. Diving with smoke pouring out the back of your Jeep gets people to drive around you.
2. Check your fluids, and then double check them. (See #1)
3. Moab really isn't that far, or expensive. If you don't have to fix/tow/abandon anything.

Checking in. Make it home in one piece, still a bit dazed at the whole weekend. Driving the trails and the obstacles I've been reading about since I first picked up a Petersen's magazine.
I have a good number of pic's and some video from Hell's Revenge that I'll get up in the next day or two...
Just spoke with Terry on the side of the road. He's got the XJ on the way to Rifle and they're coming back for the hauler. So he's in good shape. He pointed out it was a good thing the XJ broke and he left a day early so he had today to deal with all this.

We're still hanging at Slickrock, milking an epic weekend for all it's worth. We did Fins n Things this afternoon in a duststorm, but still had a great time.
Glad you've got that worked Terry. SteveT, Zith, J-9 and I figured out how to get you home. Back the XJ so the rear wheels are on the...

It's the logo for a Snowboarding/Winter apparel company, Grenade Gloves.

Despite going MIA from the board for the last month or so, I'm in. I'm planing on heading out Thursday morning. Wouldn't mind tagging along with some folks caravaning out. Wusing out and staying at the Lazy Lizard in town.
