I got a new OTK 1-ton tie rod for my 95 XJ with offset 1-ton TRE's. Anyway, the old tie rod (the one that rotted out) was about 46". I was thinking of cutting the new tie rod to 47 or 48" so there are less TRE threads showing. Does this matter? What is the "normal" tie rod length? Thanks
