The factory carrier on the 8.8 is strong, making a Lunchbox locker a good choice for running 35's or under IMHO. I ran an LSD 8.8 with 35's and found the traction OK, but not overwhelming. I've also added the Ford Motorsport kit (a minute since) to another in a Fox Body Mustang; adding clutches...

Easiest way to do a two battery setup on an XJ/MJ is to get a Battery Tray from a postal (RHD) Cherokee and then put in a Specter Air Cleaner setup to clear your factory air setup from where the new Battery Tray goes then you can use any of a million wiring setups... I always prefer Painless...
Just change the outers and wheel it bro! Unless you just enjoy the tinkering. I like it, but just want to enjoy my truck now. I'm actually starting to look at interior restoration and a paint job (my last one super oxidized not sure why...?) because I want my wife to like my Jeep like I do!
Nice truck, but green stickered and no hatch... too bad. I wouldn't want this one (I hate Boggers!), but the axles alone are nearly worth the price. Hope you get the price if it's yours!
