Typical remix low idle rough running troubles.
A weird problem I found out with my O2 sensor. Unplugged it runs the same, removing the relay it runs the same. The odd part is using a multimeter I can tell it gets good power on 30. The ground is good. And even gets a clean signal to turn off...
Got a 90 MJ with a typical cracked manifold. It's out of the Jeep and just needs someone that is good with a welder to make sure I get a couple more years out of the exhaust. Can pay in cash, beer or just tell a uninteresting story while you weld.
Welp, it is finally happening. This is being posted a bit early but I can't expect the person interested to just magically have the money just burning a hole in their pocket the moment I post this ad. More details will trickle down as time allows and I remember all the details.
The skinny...
Non-disco front axle with 3.55 gearing for my MJ. If possible a 95+ year with the better U-joints.
Also if anyone has the spider gears and center pin for a D44 that would be awesome.
My truck has neither. Headboard doesn't have to be perfect. Hoping for grey in color if possible. But whatever is available I will consider. I also do know that I can get new carpet from Rock Auto but I'm always gonna try and put money in a locals pocket first if I can. :viking:
Just got a MJ and the PO installed a D44 spring over setup. But did not adjust the spring perches :banghead: so it's just a sad mess of over stressed bushings. I want to make the D44 into a spring under setup and need someone that is competent in axle mods and good with a welder to help me fix...
I just finished a 600 mile trip to Oak Harbor, WA and mid way through my driveline starts violently shaking. I can grab the rear driveshaft and move it up and down. I see the transfercase moving with it. the auto tranny does not move. I noticed what the trans mounts to is cracked.
Anyone...
Hope this isn't something beaten to the ground but just got the Cherokee edition of 4x4 garage magazine with 62pgs of XJ goodness. :-) Even has a article about Insane Inline II continuing the project to make the most powerful I-6 on the planet. Good read. Just thought I would share.
I've already drilled out the hole to 1/2" and now its wallowed out after I redrilled to the larger 1/2" bolt size. What kinda fixes can be done to strengthen the mount? I've seen a grade 8 washer welded over the hole. Vehicle is my DD so I wont do any 'trails fixes' if you know what I mean...
Replaced starter with random junkyard ZJ one and it's worked flawless for 4 days. Now I'm getting no response when I turn the key to the ON position. The only thing I hear is the clicking of the relays that remove power to all the interior accessories when turning over motor. Multiple...
Wondering if installing coilover shocks in the rear would have any perks at all. I understand the shock would help support some of the weight so I could remove a leaf. But are they worth it.
I found these for $200
Ford Rear Shocks
Fit stock explorers and there shocks are around 25"/15"...
I found a HID kit that just plugs into the stock H4 plug. Was wondering if anyone has found a kit like this one cuz I have already done the headlight harness upgrade and this would allow for redundancy if the HID somehows poops out on me I can still use factory bulbs. :-) Thanks for any helpful...
The 99-04 WJs have a spring isolator on the bottom of the front springs and I was wondering if anyone has used them and if they fit.
I could use a 1" boost on the front of my Jeep and adding a bit of comfort in the ride at the same time wouldn't be bad either.
Hope this is the right place to post this.
Found 2 4 cylinder Jeeps in the Lynwwood Pull-a-part with 4.10's. Was there yesterday so someone needs to put those front axles to use. :-)
I am looking for ways to make the WJ front brake upgrade possible. So I figure to get what I want with possibly the least amount of work I would just swap front axles. I already have the WJ control arms (top/bottom) so I think it should bolt up and I'm aware I am just swapping a LP30 for...
93 XJ auto tranny
It was having trouble starting until the old battery ground wires were addressed. It now starts every time but will run 5-15 minutes idling, slowing losing rpms until it dies. It will start right up again after. When put into reverse or drive the rpms will return to normal...
I just recently purchased a ARB front bumper and have fog lights from a 00 wrangler installed in the center of the bumper. My question is if anyone has put to use their stock cherokee fog lights after upgrading to a aftermarket bumper and where/how they installed them. I have no problem with...
After a bit of wheeling at Tahuya Trails my stereo blew a fuse. I know it's the fuse in the kicker panel but I took this opportunity to check the fuse box in the engine bay. Well I check all the fuses and I can't seem to visually check F22. So with the engine still running I just pull it to...
I have the stock radio from my 01 XJ Sport. Has CD Player. - $40
x2 rear back plates from a Dana 44 ZJ w/1 rotor - $40
Complete rear 8.25 drum brakes-(back plates, drums, brake pads (plenty of pad left), springs are from a rebuild kit, no parking brakes) had on for a year but due to lack of...
