    Pricing Parts

Well gang, Sadly I am going to be parting out my 91XJ this summer. She sure has been a blast, seen terrain all over Colorado, Utah, Vermont and places in between. Been a heck of a lot of fun building up, though I may have cursed a time or two along the way:smsoap: Anyway, hopefully someday get...

    OME, bpe, bfd?

:D Hey all, still trucking here in Vermont with the ol' 91 XJ Sport. I'll get to it here, replacing the Rancho RS9000's with Old Man Emu's N35L's front, N36L's rear. The N35L's up front have the big dogbone bars in them, and the bushings don't seem to protrude enough to work with my JKS...

Can you adjust caster on one side?

Hi gang, Here's the scoop; Put in the 4.5" springs and adjustable uca's and lca's. I tried to achieve a decently symmetrical wheelbase by adjusting the lca's and then used Gojeeps site to work on my alignment. Well, I ran out of decent weather and also plain got sick of crawling under that damn...

    hard steering at idle

I noticed a slight leak at the pitman, but the power steering fluid level looks good. As soon as I give it a bit of gas it steers fine. Is the pump the likely culprit, or maybe pump and box? Thanks

    wheelbase/alignment/UCA's issues

After installing RE 4.5" added the adjustable upper and lower control arms. My plan was to adjust the lowers to achieve my 101.4" wheelbase, and then adjust the uppers for caster and pinion angle. However, starting at the passenger side I have lengthened the lca to around 17" already and my...

    Quick caliper question

Hi, I am right in the midst of replacing my calipers with rebuilt ones from A-zone. They each came with 2 copper washers, and I am wondering where they should go. Anyone here have some insight? Thanks, Todd

    D30 Pinion bearings

Hiya, This all started as an axle shaft seal replacement. But as I had to remove the carrier, (I have an ARB), it was suggested that I should replace the carrier bearings and races while I was at it. An ARB tech told me that I shouldn't have to worry about setting it up again if I just use the...

    While I'm in here....

Hey all, Getting the ol' girl going after almost 2 years. One of my jobs will be to remove and clean the valve cover. I noticed after I got it running a bit of a tick/click noise. I figure it is likely the lifters, but really don't know. I just wondered what I should look for or do upon...

    *!#@! Axle Nut!!

Ok, deeeep breath. Let it out slow. I'm in my happy place! NOT! :smsoap: **** this Jeep! I have been soaking the front axle nuts for days with PB, tried long breaker bar with a long pipe. Even used a floor jack on the breaker bar. All to no avail. I am sure it is possible to get this mf'er...

    Q re: ZJ steering conversion

Yes, I know there have been numerous posts on this. And I have checked out the details here - http://www.stu-offroad.com/steering/zjtie/tierod-1.htm. However, it seems to me that there is something missing. According to the write-up, one of each of the following is needed. ES3096L - tre ES2079S...

    LCA bolt seized

Hey gang, In the process of installing RE coils, uca's, and lca's. I was able to remove the nut on the pass-side uca bolt (frame end), but the bolt won't come out. I am thinking it must be fused/seized to the metal sleeve in the bushing. Any suggestions? I have been alternating between PB...

    Mopar Performance Part #?

Hi, I am giving the ol' girl a tune-up and heard about using the Mopar Performance plug wires as an inexpensive upgrade. I think I have this part number right; P4876436. I was wondering if there was a Mopar Performance cap and rotor that would also be an upgrade, and what the part numbers are...

Hey, I had a few questions re: your ARB install in the 8.25. I have the 27 spline and wondered about getting the ARB, already have one up front. Thanks, Todd

    Alumiflex tie rod

Hey gang, I am considering one of these but had a couple of questions. I have seen them advertised as being made by both Challenger Performance(out of business), and Toys By Troy. Are these the same? Also, anyone with some experience with these, what do you think? Thanks, Todd

Can I get away with 32's on 7" rims?

Hey there, Just wondering what you all think. I have 31 10.50's on my AR 767 15X7 rims. 4.5" backspacing. I'm considering going up to the 32 11.50's (although I really wish 32 10.50's were more common). I like the idea of the narrower rims allowing me to air-down a bit more on the trails, but...

    RE 4.5" Lift--2 quick questions

Hi, I am going to install the 4.5" coils soon to go with the RE 3.5 leaf pack and extended shackles. I ordered new stock coil isolators with the idea of replacing the originals. Question 1: I have heard that the rear tends to sit higher, should I just add the new isolator to the old, or...

Electric fan cfm Q (I'm almost afraid to ask!)

Hi all, I did a search and found an entertaining, though heated exchange; :explosion http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12051&highlight=stock+fan+cfm My question is, does anyone know what the newer-style electric fan has for cfm rating? I have been looking to upgrade my older style to...

Which electric fan did you use?

Hi all, First off; I know, I know, I should have kept my mechanical fan  I replaced it a couple years back with the Flex-a-lite 110. Only 1250 cfms, doesn't cut it. On another board I read some great info from a guy in Australia who put in a 16" fan. I don't know if my rig is just...
