Another successful 95-96 booster swap, w/ info I haven't seen

My 95/96 setup had the spacer & I used it on my '90 model. Didn't occur to me to see if it was absolutely neccessary, though.

Another successful 95-96 booster swap, w/ info I haven't seen

I highly recomend the booster/mc swap for you. If you are pulling the parts yourself, pulling the brake pedal & stoplight switch from the donar XJ will save you some work. As far as I know, the inner workings of the proportioning valves are different between the disc/drum versus disc/disc...

Another successful 95-96 booster swap, w/ info I haven't seen

To clarify, the proportioning valves are not any different for rear drum-to-rear drum equipped vehicles. If you are swapping to rear discs from drums, yes the prop valves are different.

Another successful 95-96 booster swap, w/ info I haven't seen

I do not think the proportioning valves are any different, but the valve on my booster/mc/valve combo was mounted on a nifty little bracket that tucked the valve up close to the mc instead of mounting it on the fender. Probably personal preference on that one, but I really like it. I did not...

Another successful 95-96 booster swap, w/ info I haven't seen

This past weekend I swapped in a booster/mc/proportioning valve from a 95-96 Xj into my Comanche. I had removed the load-sensing valve from the rear during a mild lift to add 31's. I had read several posts & a couple of write-ups on this swap, but found a couple areas that I feel I can add a...

Ok so I finished my lift and now I have problems. . . .

By adding the lift shackles, you rotated the pinion angle UP a few degrees. Dropping the t-case will not fix this = you will need to get some steel shims to rotate the rear housing back closer to where it should be. HTH

    Fuel check valve

Yeah, the old "long starting time" deal. hasta I searched & found a buncha good info on the situation, and am zeroing in on the check valve in my fuel pump. My question is, approximately how long should fuel system stay preesurized after the vehicle is parked? A few hours? Overnight? Over...

    Can-back style tops for MJ's??

A tent shop can make the canvas/window parts for you. All you'd need is to design & build the metal framework. Aluminum would be sweet - not cheap, tho.

    Jeep Gladiator

Rescue is Dodge Ram based platform. That dude is BIG as in Suburban big (perhaps not as long) Gladiator is supposedly a 2007 Wrangler variant. It's wider than the current TJ & of course has the different rear frame for the extra wheelbase & bed.
