    rugged ridge steering

Good to know. Yeah, I noticed your website says: 'almost .25" wall'. I wonder if RR uses the same, because I had no problem fitting the tap after chopping a few inches off the rod, even though theirs is described as 1/4" wall. I believe they use a 16tpi end, since it's slightly larger than...

    ES2233L Ton TRE $35, 24073

I have a new TRW ES2233L 1-ton TRE drilled and reamed to fit an ES2026R on an under the knuckle set-up. $35 pick-up or plus shipping from Christiansburg, VA. I'm doing an otk conversion and screwed up and reamed the tre from the wrong direction. If you've got an utk set-up it'll work great...

    rugged ridge steering

Just got around to doing this. The RR ends are NOT 18 tpi. So I'm needing to get a LH tap too to make these work, which isn't cheap. So now, it would have been cheaper to just buy the kit from JCR, but in the event I screw up a rod I'll have what I need to make a replacement. Plus this way I...

    rugged ridge steering

I did wonder about that. I'm glad they're longer and not shorter. A friend has a 7/8x18 RH tap, so I can trim one side if needed.

    rugged ridge steering

I just picked up the RR set-up for cheap, and I was looking to do the same thing. I was previously planning to get the JCR OTK kit, but for the price I got the RR linkage... Here's my plan: Replace all the TRE's with the same part #'s JCR uses. They Both use 1.25 Dia .25 wall DOM, so the real...

    Shackle relocation brackets!! YAY!

Just got these installed. Before: After: I'm running 3" leafs and 1½" shackles, and the brackets added about an inch.

It may be to prevent the trackbar from binding when the suspension is fully extended.

    4.10's with 33's

It'd without question be better than sticking with 3.55's. The 4.10's would give you about the same performance as stock gears and stock tires, was my point before. If you crawl much with it though you may want to go deeper.

Thinking about running a detroit up front. How do you like yours?

I've not been running mine long, but so far it's been good. It's quiet, which I can't say about the aussie I have in the rear.

    4.10's with 33's

    Isn't 4.10's & 33's pretty close to running 3.55's & 225/75R15's as far as final drive goes?

    Control Arm Drop Bracket decision

Back to the OP... the RC brackets don't have braces do they? But for basiclly the same money you can get the RR which do. My biggest issue is RR's customer service. that's the only thing stopping me from getting theirs.

    jeep outriggers

Here's a system thats been devoloped using the P/S pump. I think it weighs under 30lbs. However it'd take 2 of these systems to have one on every corner, and @ $6000 a pop you could probably make your own. http://www.allgermanmotorsports.com/html/products.html Still a cool idea though.

    Coil heights...

I've got a set of V8 coils laying around I'll try to measure when I go by the shop later. The OE V8 coils IIRC are a bit taller uncompressed compared to the 6 and a bit thicker.

    different wheels...

The lug pattern is the same on the old 5 lug Dakota's, but I think the stock wheels are only 6 in wide.

Want your opinion on which wheels to get

They're not quite the same. and I may be wrong, but I think the backspace measurement should be measured to the lip where the tire actually meets the rim, unlike in the picture. But the idea is there.
