So I bought this jeep really cheep and they told me It had a charging problem. when I went to look at it and lifted the hood, I noticed the air cleaner cover was removed, hence somebody playing with carb and maybe more than a charging probem. Batt dead so cant crank it. So we buy it trailer it...

Orig stock did a 1984 cherokee with 2.5L motor come with a 5 speed manual if not what would year manual 5 speed would bolt up to the 1984 2.5L? also would this same transmission (5 speed manual) bolt up to a 4.0L motor? would a 6 speed wrangler transmission bolt to a 2.5L and ALL 4.0L...

how much work would it be to install a 4.0L with trans and transfer into a 1984 cherokee that had a v6 in it?? Is it worth the time easy, hard? thanks
