SO I took my MJ to a shop last weeked and they did a little work in the transmision. They also said I have a Asian type toyota trans...has anyone ever heard of that or what???????? I also have a problem with the trans NOT down shifting and the passive gear not working, can anyone help me...

Sometime ago somebody mentioned an adjustment you could make to the transmission (automatic). The transmission works well, except for when you put the pedal down to the floor, you never get to that nice passing gear....any suggestions? thanks

We removed the front drive line in order to replace the u-joints on our 88 Commache. Anybody have details on what it takes to rebuild the CV joint and the level of difficulty? We have heard different opinions from local shops...special tools...?
