3" Rusty’s full spring lift with 31" tires...only a year old. Lots of tread left since I’ve barely put 3k on this jeep since I bought it and lifted it.
New...
just did the flywheel and clutch kit on my 95 ax15. Not to bad, pretty straight forward...just take your time and do it right the first time because after putting it all back together the last thing you want to do is have to take it apart again because of something minor.
^Thanks for pointing that out, I actually intended on using that write up to finish up the rest of the alignment. So hopefully the caster will solve the problem.
what i mean are the grease cups...they were destroyed when i was rocking the tie rod back and forth attempting to remove it for adjustment.
Ill have to get a buddy to help me out so i can see if anythings loose while the wheels turning, not sure what else to do at this point
i have a steering issue and i was wondering if it could be attributed to shot tie rod end fittings. Everything else seems pretty tight but when im driving it will take an extra inch or two of turning the wheel before it responds.
3" lift, 31's, 4.0, standard....also the tie rod i speak of is...
Feel like im beating the horse pretty good here, but im seeing these for $53 shipped to your door. 27 spline muncie 4 speed...1310 u joint. These correct?hasta
Nice posts guys. what i had in mind was just adding to what i already have, i.e. shackles and spacers. i will also be doing a hack and tap so ill save a bit of $ there. what kind of shackles and spacers? are generic ones from PORC quality enough for this lift? i see i can get adjustable shackles...
Im running a 3" rustys full leaf and coils lift right now and im interested in going higher to run 33's. money is tight, but at the same time i want to do it right. your opinions count beyond words so let me know what you think. TIA.
well i can bang around in it all i want in 2wd no problem, its just putting it in 4lo (havent tried 4hi) that i get a clunking, banging noise from the front and underneath driver seat. Now i could be wrong but wouldnt i notice the noise in 2wd if it was a motor or trans mount? just hope its not...
im actually getting the same exact problem when in 4lo. Not sure whether its safe to wheel or not cause its loud and sounds like something is about to break.
i did tear pretty much the entire tcase apart but dont really remember much about the speedo - it wasnt giving me any problems originally. I guess ill unplug it and see if anythings loose or looks funny in there, although not really sure what to look for. it is quite possible the orientations...
Metal tube snapped at the tcase. Ive tried to braze it back on and JB weld it 2x....keeps coming off. Id like to get it back on there to keep dirt, etc.. out but dont know how to adhere it back on. Anyone get any suggestions?
Nevermind im an idiot...i see they are recorded. which gave me codes 12, 15, and 55...meaning i really just need to figure out wtf is wrong with the speedometer.
ill give it a shot, but how will i pull codes when the check engine light only comes on after a few minutes of driving? seems like the only way i can pull the code is if the check engine light is there immediately at start up...
thats what i was hoping to hear. also, any idea why the check engine light would go on after it warms up?? i have no code reader so i can really only guess maybe a bad o2 sensor.
Hey guys quick question. Just installed a new muffler (cat back) and the install went smooth but now im seeing some smoke come from it after it heats up. Everything seems to run fine but after about 5 minutes or so, or whenever i really push the jeep, the muffler will start to smoke out of the...
