    Bought a "new" 2000 XJ

Got lucky and found a really clean 2000 XJ from a seller in WA. The interior is like new, I've never seen and XJ this clean. It looks way better in person than the pictures show. It has clearcoat fade on the hood and front fenders (which I don't care about) but is mechanically solid. Inline 6...

    Sierra fest vendor list:

Just want to update this (because I was looking for it). Justin Lagace Welders - the guy that makes the small suitcase trail welders is here: https://www.facebook.com/LagaceWelders/ I'm gonna show this around the Seattle area and I bet he sells a ton of them. Great kit, really wish I won it at...

    XJ radiators, a review.

Update: The FF Dynamics radiator has been running great in the last few months. It got a little warm today (215*) sitting at stoplights in 85-degree heat, but I think it's more about my fan clutch being bad rather than the radiator. Once I kicked on the electric fan, it cooled right down.

    Dampeners on the front.

I finally got around to installing the front shocks. 360/80 is the way to go. The front axle used to feel like it was going to come up thru the oil pan on washboard roads. It was so much more controlled when wheeling today, it was a huge difference.

    XJ radiators, a review.

Here's some pics of an FF Dynamics alum radiator. Looks similar to others on here. I haven't tested it in warm weather yet, but is doing fine during snow wheeling so far. Install notes: a) Had to notch the top cross-member to clear the cap, b) the aluminum overflow nipple had to be trimmed -...

    Dampeners on the front.

I just bought a pair of Bilstein 33-230429 shocks with 360/80 valving (17" collapsed, 28" extended) but haven't installed them yet. If I get around to it tomorrow, I'll leave a ride report.

What did you do to your XJ today

Flushed the heater core (which was nearly plugged), pulled out a 180* thermostat and installed a 195* for better heat in the winter, and replaced the radiator with an aluminum unit from FF Dynamics. The old CSF 3-row was damaged by the mechanical fan about a year ago when the XJ was all...

    P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire

Update: I ran some Seafoam thru the intake and noticed that the exhaust manifold was leaking. Turns out it had tons of cracks in it that were all dumping right around cylinder 3. I think that the heat was vapor locking the #3 injector. I replaced the exhaust manifold today and put on some new...

Looking for someone to pull a part: Fairfield or Neward PnP

I am looking to get the ECU from a 1998 Jeep Cherokee with the AW4 tranny. There are 2 1998 Cherokee's in Northern CA: one in Fairfield Pick-n-pull and one in Newark PnP. I'm looking for someone to go pull one of these for me and ship to me in Seattle. I am willing to pay decent money to...

    P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire

1998, 4.0L, AW4 I've got a very noticeable misfire on cylinder 3 at idle. It seems to clear up once I'm on the gas. Fuel pressure tested at 49 psi. I swapped a spare ignition coil - no improvement. I changed all plugs, wires, cap, and rotor - no improvement. Swapped injectors from cylinders...
