It's not shuddering. If Lucas in the fluid change that im going to do helps then I'll replace the TC and rebuild the spare 2x4 trans I took out.I know ill have to get a T Case adapter and tailshaft. This one is my DD.Well maybe just the shaft I can easily change the adapter I think.

Ya know I think it may be the overdrive clutch not engaging. It passes all electrical tests. It happens when hot trans randomly like it shifts out. When it gets a little warmer out I'll take the trans harness inside and pull it apart to clean ,inspect. If it was me driving it,I am a double amputee and blind in one eye,It would have the NV3550 trans out of my 88 in it in the first place.

This reading is with the plug disconnected. That is why I added a ground at the TCU.

Interesting thing is when checking the solenoid resistance with tcu disconnected they check good. However when the key is turned on the resistance is higher than normal,but works fine until it says eff you.

Okay here's an update I have replaced the TCU with a used one and it seemed fine for a 2-3 days so I went ahead and replaced the output speed sensor in the tail shaft area. Today it is actung the exact same thing again all of a sudden it seemed like the transmission started slipping torque...

So far so good.I found I can disconnect the TCU and directly power the sol #3 no problem.It is/was an intermittent issue. Today it is working no problem if no issue in 3-4 days then the TCU was bad. Previously it happened every day or 2. Time will tell

The best way I found to check spark is pull the coil wire off the cap stick a long screwdriver under it and have someone crank the engine while you hold the screwdriver about quarter of an inch or so away from any metal object to see if it has spark. This way you're not messing with the tiny...
