    front axle seal

1996 Xj classic. Dana 30 inner axle seal. The axle shaft is worn just enough where the seal rides that it leaks dif oil until the level drops far enough that the seal isn't needed. In the past I found a "problem solver" seal. It moved the seal just enough to ride on a new spot on the axle...

    rear discs so so

I converted my 01 xj to rear discs using the rear set up from a 96 ZJ including swapping the prop valve internals. Everything went pretty smooth. I ran the XJ while the rear was up on jackk stands, the rear brakes worked. The real test is driving. The rears will not lock up like the fronts...

    axle swap?

My 2000 xj has the D35 with ABS. The ABS works good. Is there a stronger axle I can swap in that has ABS that will work with my syatem? I saw on another forum that someone had an 8.25 with ABS.

    Airbag and clockspring

OK My 96 XJ is almost ready to hit the trails again after it munched the 04 jag type S. Question: Does the clockspring have to be replaced after the airbag deployment or just the airbag?

    AC pressure relief valve

So my 01 xj ac compressor would run when the ac was on, after a short time it stops blowing cold air. When this happens the ac clutch is not engaged. Awhile later the clutch will re-engage and there is cold air again. I read the most common problem is low charge. I bought a quick charge kit...

    OUCH

So my 96 xj is hurt. My kid hit the back of a Jaguar type s. The xj front bumper went over the jag's and pushed the trunk to the rear window. No one was hurt though. When the right front tire hit the Jag rear bumper the lower control arm mounts ripped off the axle housing on the right, twisted...

    Stalling

Went wheeling in southern Colorado. My 96 Xj stalled after about 2 hours of hiway driving. It would restart, then die right away. Cleaned the IAC, Jeep started up and ran fine on the hiway to Durango, Co. Next day, Jeep starts normally, runs great to trail head and on trail. Finally dies on...

    engines

I have been gone for awhile, now that I'm back, I'm looking at my old 92 laredo xj. It needs an engine. I read about someone using a 99 4.0 but he was having problems with intakes, fuel rails and tb's. I have access to a low mile 96. Would this be any easier than the 99? Couls I use my old...

    Need some help deciding

An old man (84) used his Buick to hit my 92 XJ Laredo in the parking lot at my sons work. The Xj has 190K miles, new 30X9.50 BFG At's, 2" lift, an alarm and a new Alpine stereo and speakers. The jeep was in great shape except some paint fading. Anyway, The old mans insurance gave me the jeep and...
