My 1990 4.0 is losing power about 1/3 into the pedel. I posted it up and was told to check my TPS. Did the Neg D terminal to Positive A terminal had 4.73 volts. Hooked up positive to B had 4.18 volts. Pretty close to specs. 5.0 and 4.2 repectively are what is called for. Checked for Vacuum leaks...

I have a 1990 4.0. I changed out the 02 sensor in the manifold and I thought there was one after the CAT? The guy I bought it from had an aftermarket exhaust installed so there is not a spot for it. So how many 02 sensors.

1990 XJ Renix 4.0... My idle is going between 450-750. Up and down. After searching posts I am going to ohm my 02 sensor. My question is do I have two? The manifold and one past the cat or is there more. And if I find one bad do I change them all at once or only the bad one????

I just bought my first XJ a 1990 have owned a TJ and CJ in the past. I just moved to the sacramento area and wanted to know what the good 4wd shops are for doing axle swaps. Looking at getting a Dana 60 or Ford 9 inch in the rear and a Dana 60 or 44 up front.
