Wheel with somebody who has over 6 inches of lift with stock width axles. that will help you make the decision. If all your going to do is some mud/hill climbs and trailriding it may be ok. the first time you get off camber youll wish you were lower.
5 inches of lift and have ran 37s and 38s...
Ive got stiffers on my XJ....and Ive got the RK 3 link.
The kit works just fine. only thing I did was take the spacers supplied in the kit and trim them down 3/16ths (the thickness of the stiffeners)
other than that, I can honestly say the RK 3-link has been the most carefree aftermarket...
hey everybody
Well its about that time...after almost 10 years of wheeling the XJ I'm starting to get some rust issues. Fortunately the rest of the jeep is in great shape rust wise. I would like to cut the rockers out and replace them with 2x4 or 2x6. I haven't found a great write up yet...
hey everybody
looking for a fun...relatively easy project to kick off the wheeling season. been wanting to do a tummy tuck and, build a skidplate protecting as much of the trans/tcase as possible.
So far it looks like I can buy a clocking ring for the np231, and take care of that pretty easy...
for the amount of work it takes to get in there and add grease I would recommend buying a CV repair kit and installing that while in there and still packing it with grease. Its not a difficult job by any means....but it just takes a while. and more than likely if you've lost all the grease...
dont make it more complicated that it needs to be. I run an unmodified 8 inch ram on mine. along with a completely stock steering system (no cooler, or additional reservoir) has worked great for 4 years. I have repeated my system on 6 other jeeps with no issues.
Hey everybody
Wanted to get some opinions here. I don't know if I've ever replaced my O2 sensor or not. But either way it is likely 6 or 7 years old. Lately when doing stream crossings or other water fording it has been acting up. Pretty much throws an O2 code Everytime and starts running...

I have been having problems with my rear 2 doors for a few years now. One of them I was able to fix with some adjusting however my driver rear door I can't get. I locked it from the inside about a year ago and now the lock is stuck in in a awkward position.
Due to it not being key operated...
Am I missing something or has the price of steel changed that much. Most people said they had about 80 bucks in material.
Just the rectangle tubing alone looks like it's going to run about 140ish!
Hey everybody
Well I'm Looking to do a rocker replacement here sometime soon since mine are starting to rust. It seems a lot of the writeups are on old domains that are closed now. I want to keep it pretty simple. Just go with 2x6 but I want to do it as clean as possible. I see a lot of...
after battling this for a few weeks I final found the issue.
The issue.
I'm only really posting this because my cherokee is electrically in great shape and never given me any issues.
I started with an ignition switch which didn't solve the problem because it turned out I didn't even have any...
Ok
I checked everything at the 7 wire connector and zero juice there but at the pdc everything has power and the fuseblock inside cjecks out.
I'm thinking something in the harness has shorted
At the 7 wire plug I have nothing. Those are all solid colors (2 reds also are dead)
At the 4 wire plug at the switch I only have power at 1
Been trouble shooting all day to no avail and I can't find the first bad looking wire anywhere
Replaced ignition switch with no luck.
Been trouble shooting all day.
I have power at the input for the ignition switch at a violet/grey wire
Maybe purple/grey. But 3 of the 4 others show nothing.
Also not getting any power at auto shut down relay from ignition

Harness is untouched for the most part.
Few weeks ago started having some funky starting issues with dash lights and fuel pump being delayed.
Now can't get anything to turn on with key
Hey everybody
Some of you may have seen my last thread in regards to funky ignition issues. Well today my brother called and tells me jeep won't do anything. Battery tests good and headlights and dome lights work. However he's getting absolutely nothing with the key. Turn it forward to start...

I thought I had mentioned it but apparently hadn't
All wiring harnesses should be pretty much untouched for the most part. I have added some aftermarket electrical equipment but avoided sharing grounds/tapping into other wires
Also should add that while the dash lights were flickering I was getting some clicking noise...couldn't tell if it was coming from steering column or dash.
