Uses for the dash clock panel?

I have my transmission temp gauge flush mounted there.

Flooding and rough idle and stalling

Re: Re: Flooding and rough idle and stalling Most of the time that is the only way to get it to start after it dies or when you shut it off when its stumbling.

Flooding and rough idle and stalling

Re: Re: Flooding and rough idle and stalling At rest. It'll build pressure while cranking and when it does run.

Flooding and rough idle and stalling

See video. This is what I'm seeing with my 92. I swapped to the neon injectors some time ago and I'm wondering if I've got a bad one or two. Sometimes it will run fine, sometimes it does this. Very strong gas smell from exhaust while cranking and no pressure at fuel rail. Newish fuel pump and...

92 High Idle and Very Rich

OK, it turned out to be a fuel pressure regulator. When I pulled the reg there was debris in the passageways. I'm guessing the computer was increasing the idle to deal with the over rich condition at idle.

92 High Idle and Very Rich

So my XJ just randomly started doing this again. Randomly it will start to idle high (1500-2000) and smell very rich. When it does this it will, more often than not, stall out when trying to pull away from a stop. It seems like it's completely flooding the motor out. To get it fired up again I...

Has anyone drilled/tapped the AW4 tranny pan for a temp sensor?

I'm just impressed with gojeeps pictures still being online 10 years later.

    rear bumper suitable for towing

I've got the Dirtbound Mojave DIY. I wouldn't hesitate to tow with it as long as its within the capacity of the truck. The bumper mounts go inside the "frame rail" and act as their own nutserts.

    Dirtbound DIY Mojave

Just got my DIY Mojave and I'll probably be starting on it next weekend. Anybody that's built one, any gotchas? It didn't come with any instructions but it looks pretty straightforward. The only part I'm a little worried about is where the bumper meets up with the bottom edge of the cut and...

    RE1600 TB upgrade

I went with the RuffStuff heim and the Clayton double shear bracket. It's a little beefier than the RE bracket and if I ever want to run a Johnny Joint it'll work with that.

    2000 XJ Slowwww

I was with him last night. When he started it back up after the stop at the gas station it stayed at 32psi for about the next 10 minutes while we drove it home. I believe it was acting up when at the lower pressure. After a little while it increased back to the 49psi and the other symptoms...

    JCR T-Case skid mounting issues

I ended up just through bolting it. My initial concerns about lack of access were unfounded. I used large grade 8 washers on the inside frame rail to spread the load a little bit. I did have to slightly relocate the fuel and brake lines but not by much.

    Starting Issues

I've been having this problem off and on for the past year. Nothing I've tried has solved it. It's hard to troubleshoot because it will show up for a week or so then disappear for awhile. This last time it ran good for almost 2 months before it started acting up again. Here are the basic...

Pulling my hair out over fuel vapor smell

The one you have labeled 'To Intake' should be connected to the airbox. The one you have labeled 'To ?' should be a vacuum line connected to the intake manifold.

    JCR T-Case skid mounting issues

I've had a JCR t-case skid on for over a year without any major issues. It's held up pretty well to some pretty good hits. I had to drop it the other day to work on the exhaust and I noticed that all but 1 of the well nuts on each side had failed mostly due to the holes in the sheet metal...

Do i have the skills to install a AA SYE kit?

Agree with leaving it in the truck. My buddy and I did his while it was already out of his truck. When we did mine we just left it in and worked under the jeep. No reason to pull it if you don't need to.

Pre '96 Dash Temp Gauge Resistance Chart

All I've got is a Haynes which doesn't seem to have anything and a FSM which only has the 3 reference temps of 100F, 220F and 260F

Pre '96 Dash Temp Gauge Resistance Chart

Yes, resistance at specific temps. I've been running hot but I'm also not entirely trusting of the factory dash gauge. I'd like to compare my readings directly at the sensor with what I'm seeing on the gauge.

Pre '96 Dash Temp Gauge Resistance Chart

I've found the posts that have the 3 reference values listed (90,220,260). My question is does anybody have a more detailed chart? Something to the 1deg would be great but even to the 5deg would help.

    Stumble on Acceleration

The issues you're having are similar, not exact, but similar to what I was fighting. In my case it turned out to be a bad fuel pump. Pressures were good when I tested it, but the flow rate seemed low using my admittedly low tech approach of dumping the return into a 5 gal bucket. It also seemed...
