    Death Wobble Solved; Alignment, Toe-In

From my first post, excerpts listed below, there's two posts referenced that have the lists you mention. From these lists the hub is the only thing I've noticed loose. I'm hopeful changing the hub will solve the problem. The mechanic that looked at my Jeep said the trackbar end on the frame...

    Death Wobble Solved; Alignment, Toe-In

I'm going to say you're probably dead right here. While on a different road, traveling about 50, I hit a bad patch of pavement and I felt a little wobble, not bad enough to jerk the steering wheel back and forth and before I was able to react to it, it went away on it's own. When I was at a...

    Death Wobble Solved; Alignment, Toe-In

Check... ...and check. Both done earlier today, and yesterday... Thanks for the help though.

    Death Wobble Solved; Alignment, Toe-In

Great... Not what I wanted to hear. Well, I'll check everything a third time, but I wasn't able to see anything moving. Guess I'll start by taking off the drag link and track bar so I can better inspect the ends... And of course replace that hub. Thanks.

    Death Wobble Solved; Alignment, Toe-In

'92 XJ, 3.5" RE Super-Flex, 108k miles, new 33x10.5's: There we were, driving on a Park Service road, you know -- the roads that you have to pay a fee to drive on -- the ones we exclusively entrust to the Feds to maintain -- the ones that suck... Anyway, in three different places we hit bad...

    XJ Brake Booster swap

Someone slap me if I'm wrong, but I believe it'd have to be from a non-ABS 96 or 97 only if you're going for the XJ booster.

    XJ Brake Booster swap

I used a '96 XJ booster for my '92. Other than using a 1/4" spacer behind the booster (and of course new brake lines at the new master cylinder) I didn't have to modify or adapt anything else. It'll lock up 33's.

Rubicon Express RE6030 3 1/2" Lift: My Experience

Just measured the articulation Front: just over 19" Rear: just over 10" I measured the top, outside edge as the tire travels up. The front is hitting the bumpstops on stuff and the shocks are limiting the downward travel. The tire/wheel combo is BFG 33x10.5 (yes, 10.5), A/Ts on 15x8 wheels...

Rubicon Express RE6030 3 1/2" Lift: My Experience

I've neglected to update, but the rig has been sitting for over a year (long story). Anyway, the ride is a little stiff, but not jar-your-fillings-loose stiff. I really don't think you'd want the spring rate any softer otherwise it'd probably feel sloppy on the road in corners (remember too, I...

    Can't Access Fault Codes

Just "12" the one that says my battery has been disconnected within the past 50 key on cycles.

    Can't Access Fault Codes

It works just like it is supposed to. I wasn't waiting long enough for the codes to start. ...patience...

Rubicon Express RE6030 3 1/2" Lift: My Experience

Before and After: This 3 1/2" lift netted between 4 5/8" and 5 1/4" of lift. For the detail oriented; the actual measurements are, as measured from the ground, through the centerline of the wheel, to the bottom of the fender flair: L/F: from 31 1/8" to 35 3/4" Total = 4 5/8" R/F...

    Can't Access Fault Codes

Sorry -- thought I had my signature going. '92 XJ.

    Can't Access Fault Codes

When I turn my ignition; on, off, on, off then on and hold; I get no code -- no flashy-flashy. It just stays on then goes off like it always does. What am I doing wrong?

T-case and Tranny Gear Ratios 92 XJ AW4/NP231

Been searching on and off for several weekends. I just need somebody to confirm I have the correct gear ratios for my tranny and tcase: AW4: 3rd = 1:1 4th = .753:1 (Overdrive) NP231 in high = 1:1 Is this correct? Background (this is the boring stuff you don't have to read): I have a 92 XJ...
