Well, if somebody told me they had a car "just like" the Trans Am in Smokey and the Bandit I would expect it to be a black Trans Am with a T-top, not a different model car altogether.
It either is or it isn't, in this case it's not. You seem to get called out on most of the Jeep forums for spouting BS so why should this one be any different?
So I guess it's not just like the one used in the movie, is it? And the official Glastron Site about halfway down the page references the GT-150 as well.
But in the movie they used a different boat and the engine size caps at 90 (for the boat in the movie) or 120 for the CV-16 so why don't you ask dad which it is?
My bad, the boat used in Live and Let Die wasn't a CV-16, per Glastron's website
Glastron literature identifies the Live and Let
Die boat as a GT150 with a Evinrude Starflite 135hp engine.The year was 1973.
Interesting to note is that the '73 catalog lists the max hp of the GT150 at...
Is that a CV-160? I think it was made by Carlson for Glastron. Knew somebody that put a Evinrude 115 on one (when they came out the 85 and 115 were visually the same) with an 85 cover, that thing would fly.
Oh yeah, used to have a '72 MGB but it wasn't getting out near often enough so I sold...
In the summer I get around 18-22 depending on whether or not I hit the highway, A/C doesn't matter and the light comes on around 265, in the winter I get about 15 (oxygenated gas) and the light comes on around 215-225.
I was installing my fogs last night and did a quick test to make sure everything was working before I bolted them to the bumper and screwed the relay in and all was good. After getting them bolted up they won't come on, I suspect I'm not getting a good ground off the lights so the question is...
Mountain Gear warehouse, just south of the Centennial Trail overpass. Stock (for now) green '93 with Yakima racks on it. Hopefully going to get a safari rack built to mount on the bars soon (wife and kid want to take too much stuff). Probably won't lift until it needs tires then will just go...
