sorry guys...if you do a search here, you'll find a lot of people argue for the use of D-II (or equivalent) only for the AW4 transmission. Otherwise, you might get what you are experiencing now. In fact, if you look at your drain plug (if OEM), it will have 'D-II' or something like it stamped...

Also, once you get your old rotors off...take them with you to buy new ones...make sure they match up in 'hat' size. Some places have two different rotors and they are not interchangeable. If you already have new rotors...size them up next to the old ones before mounting. This could say you...

I'm sorry, but I have a stupid question to your stupid question...is your XJ 2wd or 4wd? If 4WD, there is no center nut to remove... But of course, if it was 2wd and the rotor was on a spindle, it should just fall right off after removing the center nut...I would think so at least. So, skip...
