    lol...what JEEP stands for

I know a guy who just bought an FJ. He didn't like it when I told him what that stood for.

    fins & things, moab

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll be there in late May, so hopefully we'll be able to find a campsite without too much trouble. I told my wife the fender flares were looking a little old anyway, so she wont mind a few scratches on those. I think she just secretly cant wait to run some trails...

    fins & things, moab

I'm planning a trip to Mexico, and among other things along the way, will be Moab, Utah. We would like to camp here a night. My XJ is stock, and needs to make it to Mexico. With this in mind, does anyone see a problem with running the fins & things trail ( I'm told its the least difficult)...

    Iron Maiden fans...

I owe all of my hearing loss to seeing Iron Maiden live too many times back in high school. And given the choice I'd do it all over again! They put on a good show, although I have to admit; I didn't know they were still making albums. Up the Irons!

    tire cover

thanks for the responses, I've got the original full size cover, and will probably just cut it up a little bit to make it fit.

    tire cover

just put new tires on (235/75r/15), and was woundering if anyone knows where to get a spare tire cover that will fit but still matches the interior (grey). The old cover is just too small for the new tires. Or, if anyone has cut the old cover to fit, I'd love to know how you did it, before I go...

    rust and dealer warranty

Oh, and I haven't talked to the dealer yet. I figured NAXJA would be my best bet as a place to get some info before I talk to the dealer.

    rust and dealer warranty

My xj has 64,000 miles on it. The extended warranty is through the dealer (75,000 miles). The only problem is the dealer who sold me the extended warranty (and the Jeep) is back in Chicago. I now live in WA, and obviously have a different dealer. The new dealer has honored the extended...

    rust and dealer warranty

I have a 2000 xj that is still under the extended warranty, and I have discovered rust on the bottom of both of my driver side doors. It is not that bad yet, but I want to take care of it right away. Does anybody have a good way of making the dealer cover the cost for this? I like the...

    time for new tires

I need to finally get new tires. I'm deciding between goodyear wrangler rt/s and bfgoodrich all terrain t/a tires. I put 64,000 miles on my original rt/s tires, and they have suprised me with how well they handled. Will the bf goodrich tires last as long? This is our everyday driver, but its...

    fire extinguisher mount

thanks for the link. I didn't realize that topic had been so exhausted. I think I'll go with the larger one in back, like I planned, but also keep a small one between the seat and sill. That location makes a lot a sense.

    fire extinguisher mount

I was woundering how you guys have mounted your fire extinguishers. Any pics would be great. I've seen them mounted in the back, opposite the spare, on the other wheel well. It seemed to work pretty good. Any suggestions?

any 4 wheelin in Spokane area

In Spokane... Riverside State Park's ORV area allows Jeeps. If you're just looking for a place to test your skills, and see what your XJ can do, try it out.

    fuel treatment

I've heard Click and Clack of Cartalk say additives wont do anything to improve your vehicle, but I've personally never tried any of them.

    Jeep Jamboree, Idaho

Moab, hmm...it would be a good reason to go; I've never been there. You guys would be accepting of a mostly stock XJ, right? (I will be needing to drive it home too.) As for the JJ in Wallace; it was held in mid August. Maybe next year.

    Jeep Jamboree, Idaho

I believe we just missed the one in Wallace. I think its late August or early September; you have to sign up in advance. But if your in CDA, It would be great to see you there next year! I woudn't be the only JJ rookie. I mailed for info, so as soon as it arrives I'll post the actual dates.

    Jeep Jamboree, Idaho

Has anyone ever taken part in the Jeep Jamboree in Wallace, Idaho? Or any Jamboree? I'm thinking of participating, but want to know if these are worth the money. Thats a lot of cash per person.
