    Quick questions...

Really? I have a pretty heavy foot too, so they probably wouldn't mix too well. I had originally planned on going with 4.56 anyway, but since the 4.88's are the same price so I figured the extra power would be nice. How would the 4.56's treat the D35?

    Quick questions...

I've kinda been away from the Jeep scene for about and year and I'm having trouble remembering some things... I'm Looking to pick up a set of 4.88's and I think I need a new carrier in the front right? It's a D30/D35. Which one should I go with? I'd need a new one even if I went with 4.56 as...

    Cammed 4.0?

:D Honestly, no. I've never read much into the performance aspect about the Renix.. I've rebuilt mine, but never looked into anything performance wise. Somehow, I knew that was coming. I'm really looking for low-end torque. Right now, all it has is a home-made CAI and at the beginning...

    Cammed 4.0?

Would something like this work for my 88? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-0-4-2-Jeep-High-Performance-Camshaft_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247QQcategoryZ33614QQihZ017QQitemZ270233455590QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

    16.5" wheels?

Really? Thats too bad. They're basically brand new. Airing down wouldn't be a problem for me, though. The Jeep was built for mud and mild trails, no rocks, So I've never felt the need to air down.

    16.5" wheels?

My dad want's my 33's on universal Eagle rims for his Bronco and he offered me his 35's off of the '79 GMC he's parting out. The 35's are on 16.5" black D-windows, but they're ovbiously 8 bolt rims. Does anybody make 16.5" wheels with a 5x4.5" pattern?

    Brush Guards

If you're going solely for looks, a brush guard from what I beleive to be a Ford Explorer looks pretty cool. It's more of an actual brush guard, than a bumper though. I've got one on mine right now, but it'll be gone as soon as I can afford a winch bumper. I can post some pics if you want.

Another, "What do I need" thread

After adding up what all this is going to cost, shocks, arms, coils, steering components, etc. I think Im just going to buy a 4.5" lift complete and not worry about mis-matching and throwing together parts.Probably be cheaper in the long run anyway. Looking at the RC 4.5" kit right now...

Another, "What do I need" thread

Yeah I already planned on new arms and shocks, already have extended brakelines in the rear and planning on YJ's for the front. Who sells complete steering kits?

Another, "What do I need" thread

One thing I've never understood was steering angles and components. I haven't lifted it high enough to worry about them, now I want to. From what I've read, it seems that I need to have my trac-bar, and pitman arm as close to parrallel as possible right? So, right now i've got a hair under 4"s...

    YJ rear shocks?

I'd probably do the same you did and just press them out and re-use them. I just wanted to make sure they will work and are in fact, longer than stock. I assume all years are the same? Thanks for the info.

    YJ rear shocks?

Do MJ rear shocks have bar pins like XJ's, Or will I have to go with a set of BPE's?

    YJ rear shocks?

So, I know YJ font shocks are about 3"s longer, how about the rears? Are they any longer than stock XJ rears?

    Axle moved over

This may seem like a dumb question, but... After replacing my leaf and block setup with a bastard pack, my rear axle has moved over about 1-2"s to the passenger side. Both my center pins in the leafs are in the center holes on the leaf perch, and I'm really not sure how to center it again?

    Stock height measurement?

Thanks for that PornstaR, but my stock flares are long gone and the fenders are trimmed to their limit, which is why I used the door handle as the measureing point. I'm going to try the method used in the link that Timber posted and see what I get.

    Stock height measurement?

I understand that, I just wanted a general idea. Thanks for the link. That was what I originally wanted before I made the post, but I couldn't find it.

    Stock height measurement?

Anyone care to take a measurement for me? I'd like to know the stock measurement from the ground to the front area of the rear door handle. I'm sitting at 46.75"s right now, and wondering what that is over stock.
