    Maine

I might go along--perhaps some others from Midcoast Jeep might go as well. We camped at Kathadin Iron Works on our last trip up North last summer. We did the B-52 crash from the back way (from KIW), went over to the Golden Rd. through Kokadjo, went across Rip Dam, a trip to Milinocket...

CB to Antenna coax type and length...need advise.

The coax should always be as short as possible, period. The 18ft. nonsense is an old wives tale. The shorter the wire, the less the loss, period. Once it's installed, buy or borrow an SWR meter and tune the antenna.

    33x10.5/15

Here's a few pix of my rig--lift is about 3" and the wheels are 15x8 w/5.25" BS. Tires are 33x10.5x15 KM1s.

    Burned elec. smell in interior

I would check the ignition switch, which is up under the dash on the steering column. Mine melted about two years ago. I think it is going again as I am getting high current drain when the lights and heater are on high, as well as a burning wire smell after a while.

    Aluminum radiator

That is nice. I'm not sure about mounting the fans directly to the rad, though.

    BFG KM2 Vs KM

Another concern might be future availability of the KM. I just had one replaced under warranty and the vendor had some difficulty in locating a replacement. According to them, BFG is phasing out the old style. Just a thought.

4Low causing major tranny heat and problems with AW4.

Now that's odd. I seem to have the opposite problem--if I crawl in 4 hi the temps go up. A lot of our trails require intervals of up to 20-25, then a crawl--repeat and repeat. Getting in and out of 4 Lo is a PITA so it tends to get left there and use D and OD when neccessary.

    diff gaskets necessary?

LubeLockers are the answer. No mess to clean up and you can reuse them several times. Well worth the cost, IMHO.

    Wilderness Sport Series Roof Rack

I'll give this a bump. I have the Hi Lift and Axe/shovel mounts in hand--like new condition--thanks for the quick ship!

    Nates 4x4

No, no one has ever expressed any concern over Nate's lack of customer service, yet still producing a quality (for the money) product. Why would anyone send someone a fairly significant amount of money BEFORE researching them? We see this exact same issue time and time again. Caveat Emptor, baby!

    Motor Mount (write up)

I agree--my new MORE mounts do transfer more vibes, but not too annoying. I would add that you should be careful not accidentally to put pressure on the PS pump resovoir line while removing the driver's side mount. The plastic connector the rubber line connects to is very fragile (at least...

Gas smell when truck is cold

This is interesting. As of late I've noticed some gas smell, but only when getting on the gas more than normal--like up a steep hill (only a quick whiff, then it's gone). Never had it before, even in cold weather. Guess I'll be checking my injectors as well.

    Offset axle in the rear

I think that's about what the Ford 8.8 is, isn't it? Mine has never caused a problem, though granted I do have an SYE drive shaft.

    Anyone running 4.10's and 33's.

FWIW, I drove mine with 4.56 gears and my 235x75s (~29") daily for several months before I got the 33s on and it really wasn't all that bad--that .7x OD really saves the day.

    Anyone running 4.10's and 33's.

Assuming you have an auto tranny, 4.56s and 33s will get you 2250 rpms at 65 in OD, and under 2K at 55. What's wrong with that? Power is good and if you have bumpers, armor, winch, wheelin' stuff, etc. they help make up for the extra weight. I had my 4.10 gears in hand and decided at the last...

    HO badging in 97+ cherokee

All XJs '91 and up are "HO", with some differences in heads, intakes, etc. throughout the years. Chrysler dropped the "HO" badge in the later years.

    New Bumper Design (pics)

x2--this is what we did to my ARB to beef it up a bit. I would, personally, extend those mounts back some more to catch more bolt holes in the "frame".

    idler pulley bearing fix

I ignored my chirping belt. On the way to a wheeling trip my idler pulley seized on the Interstate and shredded the Gatorbak belt almost instantly. Spent two hours waiting for AAA to tow me home (not to mention severly overheating the engine before I could safely pull over--w/o the waterpump and...

    5 Tomb Raider Alcoa's w/tires. KY

These are pretty much the best wheels ever made, IMHO. I love mine and wouldn't trade 'em. There are super light weight and super strong fordged aluminum. This is a great deal.
