Yeah they got the dual patterns for 269, but if I ever upgrade the front end, it's gonna go straight through the 5 on 5.5 pattern to an 8 lug( i.e. d60).

I've gotten mounts from both advance and autozone that fit. IIRC it does matter which way it's put in, and it can be a pain to align the crossmember to framerail studs after replacing.

The slip yokes are interchangeable so i dont see any reason why that plug wouldnt work on a 242. My gues is that its targeted toward the wrangler crowd where the 242 wasn't an option on the tj or yj AFAIK .
