Been staring at the FSM all day trying to figure out what the BK/OR wire is in that post you linked. I can't find anything in the fsm that shows that wire at G101 on the side of the block. Any ideas what it goes back to?

My vote is on there being a curse on the 96 because someone at the factory got fired and called their brujo. Now we all gotta suffer.

Started in on the grounds. Found the stud in the block loose. Nut was tight but stud was loose, and wires are crispy. I’m going to just replace all the ground cables and connectors and see what happens next.

CMP as in camshaft position sensor? I’ve replaced both the crank and cam position sensors - twice. I’m down to wiring now. I really don’t know what else to look at. Everything I’ve tested comes back within spec, hot or not. I’m bald, but right now I want to grow hair just so I can pull it out

I thought so as well, but changing it only works until I move it. Something is telling the pcm to cut the spark. I have pressure at the rail, didn’t get a chance to check injector signal with a noid light, but verified no spark. I need to verify the sensor ground to pcm a7 tomorrow and figure...
