That's why I tried white lithium - see to recall the label claiming to do that. I may just have not hit the right spots yet, and the can was almost empty. Will pick up another can over the weekend and try again.
XJ is temporarily back on daily driver duties while my normal commuter is down with a coolant leak.
Opened the hood last night to check the oil, and the driver's side hinge "popped" just as I started to lift it and release the secondary (safety) catch. After that it seemed OK.
It was then...
If your testing indicates a failed check valve in the pump assembly, I'd do that first and worry about the injectors second.
Also, it'd probably be the same cost (or possibly less) to just replace the injectors as to ship them out/back for testing.
Metal on the 97-01 models, fiberglass on the 84-96 ones.
Would also have to address the rear wiper/washer for either. If you wanted to keep it, you'd need to relocate it to the top of the glass for the roll-down idea (and make it park off-glass), or just make it park below the glass for the...

I for one would still like to have the winners posted in this thread (or somewhere on the forums at least) as well - I do have a facebook account, but the drawing occurred at a time where I wasn't able to monitor it.
You know, I'm starting to wonder why Jeep changed the rotation direction of the water pump when they derived the 4.0 from the 4.2 - is the serpentine belt routing really that different?
I'm not sure - I'm still on my original ECU connector myself, though I did have to replace the ECU about 10-12 years back (it died after getting wet once off-road, think the "potting material" failed down and let water/mud get to the actual circuitry).
I had a similar issue many years ago with my '92, only in my case it was the "bulkhead" connector at the firewall (where the enging bay harness mates up to the under-dash fuse block and cabin/body harness and I was experiencing total, vehicle-wide blackouts. I was able for a while to get by...
