thanks for the advice guys. I likely could party out my jeep and get some $ back but would prefer someone just appreciate it for what it is now.
Smokinu - just ping me on PM or the email listed in the original ad. Lots of flakers on C-list and would prefer deal with someone in the community
Thanks guys for all the honest feedback. In looking around 10500 is way on the high side for the car. it's just as you know you put $ and blood and skin on it so it's just worth more to you.
New realistic asking price $8500!
and why can't I modify my original post?
Hey Guys,
Posting my car up for sale. I really have no idea what to ask but would like $10,500 for it. Please let me know if you guys think i'm way way off base, but this car has been good to me with a lot of the right mods. I'll post better photos in a bit. Located in Santa Clara. You can...
Re: 2000 XJ: 75k miles, TNT long arm, RE 5.5", 33" BFG, Atlas t/c, ARB, +++++ more
sweet rig, looks a lot like mine actually down the front bumper and rear tire carrier, color etc. Good luck with sale and post it up on craigslist or ebay too if that helps.
I have 4.88s with 35s on my 2001 with a 5-speed. It's actually decent and I'm okay with it. Revs are around 2700 at 70mph. If it was an auto then 513s may have been better, but for a manual I'm fine. I'd say the weight of the 35s and all the armor added etc is what's making my rig so slow.
i had 33x12.5 on 4.88/5-speed for a bit, and hten went to 35x12.5. You notice issues with steering, braking. For you you'll notice a bigger difference since you have only a 10.5 now vs. 12.5. I'd look up the weights of the tires and see what the differences are.
To give you an idea tho in...
I'll do you one better - here is a video of my steering setup. if you're referring to my bars angles, they are parallel to each other. i do have newer brake lines installed and have bled them...

some history, this has happened with two diff D30 front axles, and diff steering setups. Caster is about 6* or so and toe is 0*. It's as if under hard braking the car obviously dives forward and because of that wants to go left. i can correct i by just steering right a bit, but this isn't...
hello there,
i had my ARB bumper w/o a winch for a pretty long time and it worked just fine. you could just make a plate and cover the holes or something...just a thought.
the winch adds a good 70lb or so to the front of the rig anywho.
I wouldn't say anyone here is hating on the company in this thread. They have very good customer service and have been easy to work with. I have their springs/steering/trackbar setup but choose not to go wtih their long arm kit b/c of what I've heard here. I instead went with the other...
it appears to be a mix of what gear, locker, cover you are running to say how much oil you should run. I have a solid diff cover on my D44 with 4.88s, ARB and I know not to fill to the fill plug, it likes to be about 1" below that fill plug with my finger reaching in. Unfortunately I don't...
