also have a 2 door and had this idea. I plane to half cab mine and it will have a solid roll bar in the bed. Did this real quick on paint program. Only thing I didnt do was on the lower cross brase in the front it will have another piece bent to go around the tranny tunnel...

Its not that she wants the XJ she just want the thrill of almost rooling, hope you got tinted widows and a sleeping bag.

Are you using the stock shackle?

go with an EB D44 the spring perchs line up so you will only have to have UCA and LCA mounts welded on its like 59.5" wide so just 1/2" shorter then stock. its not a HP but it will work.you will need to address the bolt pattern its 5X5.5. I would recomend just upgradeing the rear to match.

thats funny I thought i was the only XJ rollin around here with no rear bumper, mine came with a real crapy/scary one in the back. I went to bolt it on just to have it and cant close the hatch with it on. been working on my new one for 4 months now and am like 60% done. Lee

works great except in the rear corner i ran in to a plate that was 1/8" thick so i had to use th dremel. cut the front in about 5 minutes total for both sides.

what size are the 8 bolts that the bumper uses to mount? i dont have a bumper so im gonna make 1 just need to know the size before i got get the rest of the stuff i need. Lee
