    CB antenna writeup

Your going to hit your mirror off the tree before you hit your antenna mount. So your going to realize "my mirror just broke off, my antenna is not going to clear this tree".

    Conversion to 5 Speed

Kind of sick of my automatic. I miss my 5speed! I have too much into this XJ to sell it and start over again on another. What do I need and what work do I need to do to convert it to a 5speed? Im talking mechanical and electrical? -tranny -pedal assembly - shifter - t/case - clutch master...

    back up lights

Yes ABDan. Relay's typically have 5 "pins". One for a fused power from the battery. One for a fused and switched "input" to trip the relay. Two for power output (to lights). And one for a ground. If you hook the wire tapped from your reverse lights to the "trip" pin on the relay then they will...

    back up lights

Not really. They're only 55watt...have you seen the stock harness for the headlights...even the brights? For the three maybe four minutes they'll be on a day it's not a big deal. I've wired them like that on several Jeeps I've owned and have never had a problem.

    back up lights

I used some slim square lights and put them right next to the reciever on the rear bumper. I have banged the reciever off a couple of rocks and a culvert and the lights are still there!! I just spliced them into the stock reverse light circuit...easy, simple, and they come one when I back up.

    CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

It went off on its own...either a good sign or a very bad sign...I will invest in a scanner...$179.99. I can split it 3 ways with everyone in my family that has a car... :)

    CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Runs fine...no autozone here in Canada, lol. The local Jeep shop said they'd read it for $40....its not like I have a choice. I just hope its something I can fix and cheap...im BROKE!

    CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Will that turn on the key 3times and the engine light will flash the code trick work on a 99? I've tried it several times to no avail. I dont feel like paying to have it scanned or paying $179CAN for a scanner....

    Mystery CLUNK

    1) My control arms are RK ones with the rod-ends....I hope they aren't bad already they are only a year old. 2) My drag-link (bent) hits the sway-bar mount and disconnect...but only when turning. I will check the shock bushings tommorow as well as the mounts. I doubt it's a motor or tranny mount...

    Mystery CLUNK

So everytime my front passenger side hits a bump I feel and hear a clunking in the floor of the truck....No play in the steering aside from the draglink/knuckle mount. Would this cause that clunk over bumps? If not any idears? Balljoint?

    i need some advice

The voltage is regulated by the PCM...so if it is the "regulator" you'd need yourself and new computer...which is costly. It's not impossible but it's not likely....

Gas mileage difference in a stoker motor??

If your going to spend the $$$ on a full engine rebuild you might as well stroke it out...it wont cost a whole lot more....if your tossing in a junk-yard ready to go motor....keep er' stock. Do the manifold while you have it out though.

Gas mileage difference in a stoker motor??

The oil pressure gauge is probably just boned...happens all the time. If it's reading 0 and you've driven it for more than 3 minutes iwithout the engine siexing its the gauge.
