Installed a Felpro valve cover gasket to stop the oil leak. Installed a 600 watt rms amp, stealthbox with 10 inch Alpine Type R sub and 4 Cerwin Vega 6.5 inch speakers. No cutting to the door was needed but of course, they didn't sit flush so I used longer screws and made new mounting points...
My Jeep had new destinations on it when I bought it. Wasn't too impressed with them. Now I have 30x9.5 BFG AT's and couldn't be happier. The cheapest price I found them for were 106 a tire on discounttires.com (yes that's with an s). Took that price to Discount tire and they matched it plus...
Did the water pump, serpentine belt and tstat over the weekend. Order got messed up on the 255/70 Grabbers (apparently on backorder nationwide???), Discount Tire gave me a sweet deal on some BFG AT's in 30x9.5x15. Put them on the 15x8 gamblers that I painted a few weeks ago. I know...I need a...
I picked up 5 OEM Gambler rims (15x8 aluminum) for $100 on Friday. Sanded them since they were oxidized, put primer on and painted then gunmetal Friday night. Had to leave for Richmond VA yesterday though so I can't have my new Grabbers on until next weekend.
So I'll be selling the 4 15x7...
Got 4 15x7 Cherokee Sport/Wrangler Alloy's. Today ordered 4 General Grabber A/T 2's in 255/70-15. Would love to throw some 31's on it but this size is as large as I go on stock gears :(
Should have my new water pump on and the wheels/tires mounted next weekend.
Okay that all makes sense. In the Trooper I had all the heater core stuff was near the firewall so I assume the pump was up that direction too then. I will tackle fixing it in another week. No way I'm working on it during the week and at night. Glad I didn't sell my car after I bought this...
Also if it is in fact the water pump, any recommendations on a replacement brand? I don't mind teaching myself this but want to make sure I'm getting the right parts.
Okay, I have had the misfortune of replacing a heater core before. I gave up a PITA '86 Trooper for my Jeep. But you guys lost me talking about the heater core on the Jeep. I haven't bought a service manual yet but I "think" it's my water pump. It's in the front of the engine, right...
Thanks Joe. I am going to order a new pump tomorrow. I'll be in Portland this weekend so I will have to save working on this till next week. Sucks it broke, I was looking forward to playing in the snow this week they say we're getting.
I have never changed a water pump. My first Jeep was a 90 and I only used it to tow my boat at the time. I have a 1989 5 speed with 4.0l and no AC. Today I thought my lower radiator hose blew so I bought a new one and installed it. That fixed it a little but I "think" now that it is coming...
Think my water pump is dying:gonnablow I noticed temp was fine when driving but when I get to a light the temp approached 250. I get out and look and notice my coolant tank is empty and it was dripping from underneath.. Popped the hood and it looked like it was coming from the lower hose. I...
I had an '05 that I went stage 3 on. I miss the he'll out of that car but was about to set it on fire because of countless misfire issues. I would still buy another Audi though but an S4 or an S5. My Acura will be paid for next year and it's gonna be hard not to sell it and buy one. But on...
I actually dumped my 1986 LWB (long wheel based 2 door) for my XJ. Honestly, I wouldn't have parted ways with it but parts are just too hard to come by and the aftermarket leaves a lot to be desired. It was a great truck and I'm not here to start any back and forth arguments but mine stock...
