Where to get shackle/leaf spring bolts?

Gil BullyKatz: Thanks for the info on the leaf spring bolts. I just cut my springs out and was wondering how hard these bolts were. This is certainly not a place to "Cut Corners". I appreciate your info!

    warn or arb bumpers

The Warn Front with brush gaurd weighs about 170 pounds. Costs a small fortune to ship. I like the spare tire carrier on my rear Warn bumper. If you decide on warn and cannot find anyone who sells them : you can have Cabela's ( cabelas.com) drop ship them from the Warn factory. That aint...

    Help Jeep looses all power

I used to have a Ford Mini-van that acted like that. The problems would stop when I replaced the throttle position sensor. I don't know if that is your problem though. I'm not a mechanic.

    Very Low Oil Pressure!

"It was just started cold" statement don't sound right to me. My 2000 runs around 40 at start-up . even after the engine reaches 210 degrees. It is down the road aways, like a half hour or more latter that it is your 10-12 at idle, but my engine idles slower than your picture when warmed up...

    CHEROKEE ROOF RACKS

I made my own with a couple of angle iron bed frames that I bought at public auction for 50 cents , some bolts, a couple of pieces of scrap wood, and paint remnants from my garage. Total cost less than 10 bucks. I haul everything up there. My canoe, camping equipment, I have had an entire...

    Unused vacuum fitting, 2000 XJ

Would this unused connection be a good place to attach a vacume gauge to mount on the dashboard? Or what kind of accessory would be be attached here?

    Unused vacuum fitting, 2000 XJ

I found the same connection on my 2000xj intake manifold. Sticker said that it is not used like yours. Concerned about drawing unfiltered air into the engine i took a short piece of hose and plugged it with a bolt and capped the connection with that. The result I got was 300 rpm slower...

    rear sway bar help

How does it drive without the rear sway bar? I have always heard that the front one is the important one. I took my rear sway bar off for better off road performance on my 2000 XJ. On the highway I don't miss it. But then I have air shocks on the rear so I can keep the rig level when towing...

Got a check engine light, how to get a code?

I bought a code reader/ programmer, but it cost over $300. If you are just interested in what the code is I would see if your local auto parts store will check it for you. Even with a reader/programer in hand; I still had to go on the internet, do a search, and figure out what the code meant...

    Very Low Oil Pressure!

Oil pressure on my xj at idle is higher when you first start it, but ounce the engine is warm it drops down to where you are questioning. Check your service manual for factory specs. Weight of oil and filter that you use may change it some. Most xj owners tell me not to use Fram oil filters...

    Rear Hatch Won't Open

I had that problem with my 2000 xj. I took the nuts off of the bolts under the bottem of the door frame ( behind the bumper) got inside and forced it open. Don't really reccomend this method. it damaged plastic parts around the door frame latch that I had to glue together. Ounce I got it...
