I have a chance to pick up a Snowbear light duty plow and bracket made for my XJ for a really nice price. I only plan on doing a couple of residential driveways (NO commercial) and I am wondering how it will hold up. I know plowing with a unibody is a no-no but do any of you guys do it and do...
Well, it was a number two solenoid fault. I had them replace the soleniod, install an external trans. cooler and flush and fill. She is shifting like a champ now......only prob. is he told me straigh up they used ATF+4 not Dex. III! Am I cool or should I start the three quarts out three...
Well, I threw in the towel. I have an appointement at my local reputable transmission shop (my cousin owns it) next Wednesday. I will post up with what was wrong in case anyone is loosing sleep over the verdict.
Okay, so I did it this past weekend. I'm not very impressed, after a couple of days of settling I am at 16 7/8" on the driver side and 17" even on the passeger. I was hoping for a little more "lift" than that. Also, I removed the bottom leafs and added the Rusty's ones, should I have done...

:worship: Thank you so much for taking the time to write that up for me. I am heading out to the garage right now to put them on. To everyone else, I went with the short style for a couple of reasons. First it is my DD and will see very limited off-road use (just fire roads and...
I just got my pair of helper leafs today but when I opened the box they did not have any instructions at all. They are the Rusty's "Helper" AAL kit designed to give you a 1" over stock re-arch. My question is do I remove my lower leaf all together or does this one sit on top of that? They...
Whoa, hold up, I know where the fuse center is by the coolant bottle but is there one in the rear too? I ask because I am having the same trouble you are so I am eagerly awaiting your findings................:repair:
Please keep us posted on how you make out with this. I am in MD and would be VERY willing to drive to you and hook you up with some cash if you could do this to mine. Please let me know. Thanks!
Now I'm not sure if the TC locked up or not, all I know is it shifted perfect but still no OD. Because it is shifting perfect in "manual" mode that has to mean it is an electrical problem right? I guess I need to bust out the volt meter and start doing some probing around. Thanks for the...
Good luck with the stealership! I went there a couple of weeks ago to try and get replacement transmitters for my 96 and they wanted $139.00 a piece plus $40.00 to program them! Needless to say I will be locking and unlocking by hand. Let me know if you find out a better deal.
Go with the 4.0 for sure. I pull down about 14 with mine (33's and 3.07s) with a 4.5" RE XD. The marginal gain in gas mileage you get with the 4 cyl. will vanish once you add bigger tires.......and you will! Good luck!
