I've found that compression test will not show a blown head gasket. A leak down test will.

With a misfire on a coil on plug application. The easiest thing to do is move #3 coil pack to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows. If it follows you know you have a bad coil pack. Typically the oxygen sensor codes are popping up due to the engine misfire. Maybe see what a shop...

So what changed on the 4.0l from 87-91. Cause browsing through my quadtrec catalog it appears that they don't make any aftermarket goodies for the early engine. Im wanting to get header to replace my cracked manifold but looks like everything is 91 and newer. What gives?

So I just purchased a 88 cherokee for a dd. The rig I purchased supposedly had a bad tranny. Would not shift into OD. So I did the research and unplugged the TCU. Manually shifting it, it works just fine. Runs about 2800rpm at 60mph...that seem right? Now the Jeep has a hard time starting and...
