    Bushwackers on, how wide rims?

yes I`m aware of that the rim will be 2" further out. Hoping that with a 11,5" wide tire I could keep them on the inside of the bushwackers. those 2 extra inches I wanted for flexing and turning was lift height, not rim size.

    Bushwackers on, how wide rims?

I think it would be the width of the tires that makes the engine to lose power. Much mass to get rollin`you know. But I know a guy at the place where I buy the tires so I may test both sizes before I buy a set of either on the jeep. It is my girlfriends jeep so I don`t think 11,5" width should be...

    Bushwackers on, how wide rims?

it would be either 32 x 11,5 or 33 x 12,5. It`s a 2,5l engine so I`m afraid it would be too lazy with the 33`s. The axles are 4.10 geared, both of them of course..

    Bushwackers on, how wide rims?

Hi. I have a `86 XJ with bushwackers on it and 8 inch wide rims. I`m going to replace these with 10 inch wide black rockcrawlers soon with 3,75" BS. Is this an OK setup or will the tires be outside the flares? I`m going with either the 32" or 33". The Jeep is lifted with 2,5" OME now an d will...

    Should I buy these lights?

The IPF super rally 930 lights are the very favourite lights of offroaders in the northern part of Norway. Up there it is darkness all around the clock for the winter months. The downside is the price, but the upside is that it is the best you can get without going for xenon lamps.. I also think...

Vacuum hoses on a `86 2.5l tbi XJ

Hi, I`ve just bought an 1986 XJ with the AMC 2.5l TBI motor and np207. I need a vacuum hose diagram on this engine to make sure the vacuum hoses is set up correctly. Many of the hoses are now plugged. I think that it is this that causes the engine to go up and down on the rpm`s when idling. Does...

    Going from 3.5 to 4.5?

Using shackles is better then using blocks I think. With shackles you also turn your axle slightly up and therefor minimizes driveline vibes.

RE 3,5" and 32"s MT/R, Can it be done?

I was planning on extending the bumpstops so that I didn`t rub with any amount of flex. Also, in Norway you must have fenders that cover the tires or else you get a ticket from the police. I think I will go with 4" of BS and see how it turns out with the 31`s before I decide whether go up to 32"...

RE 3,5" and 32"s MT/R, Can it be done?

Ok.. Does anybody have pics of trimming fenders on this model XJ, `99? I could do some minor trimming I guess.. I counted on extending my bumpstops. Fortunately the rims isn`t ordered yet, so I can still go for the 4,5" BS. It should work fine in the rear, since I have 4,5" of lift here, it is...

RE 3,5" and 32"s MT/R, Can it be done?

Hi, I have the 3,5" kit with AAL from RE and some 1" shackles from JKS in the rear. Right now I have the 31" x 10,5" - 15" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R on. It is a `99 XJ sport. The thing is, I would really want to fit 32"s with this setup without trimming fenders. Can it be done ? Or will I loose to...

    Spring shim install?

I used the same bolt that came with my RE kit (3,5" AAL) with some sheaves on it. You just mount the bolt as usual and then threads the shim on the sheaves. The sheaves fitted inside the degree shims and the end of the bolt went in the axle spot where it is supposed to.. The degree shims I have...

    Liberty Diesel

I have the `99 2,5TD engine in mine Xj.. 115 Hp and 300 Nm of torque.. Plenty power and very helpful with that much torque off road.. In Norway, the majority of XJ`s sold from 97-2003 is turbo diesel.
