    High temp woes

Ah. I'm not going to work that hard to clean the radiator I'm replacing it.. more concerned with the heater core and engine. Acid treatment seems excessive for my junk.. I have hot air in the winter and never overheated

How did you reverse flush the radiator (i know you mentioned a kit, but curious about the process)? Or hook up air for that matter? Into a special radiator cap? Or did you remove a hose? Curious how you flushed it "both" ways. I'm less worried about the actual radiator and more concerned with...

    Dont touch the petcock... whoops!

Would running the prestone flush and filled system with distilled for a few days and running the heater periodically not be enough to "flush" the heater core? 🤔 I recall doing a flush with a hose on my zj over a decade ago... like medium pressure into the outlet and the inlet or something? But...

    Dont touch the petcock... whoops!

New radiator is on the way.. wanting to flush the crud out before new water pump tstat and radiator in the most efficient way possible. I have some jb weld, maybe I can just plug it and continue with the flush, even if it drips to circulate as much of the system as I can

    Dont touch the petcock... whoops!

Hey there XJ fam... it was time for me to do a radiator flush, it'll be easy I thought... wrong. Nothing comes easy on the 97' Xj it seems. Anyhow, I didn't look up the job on the internet, because I've done much harder jobs and this seemed like a layup. Drain radiator, fill with flush and...

    "PayDay" my 2000 XJ Build

Nice score on the Rubicon 44! Whatd it set ya back?? I'd love one, but fear the investment might be too steep and nearly to a 60/ 1ton set up. Like I'll ever be on 40s with my budget lmmfao

    "PayDay" my 2000 XJ Build

I think the cut and fold looks silly with some bumpers... never seen anyone crush that lower corner either. Not like it's killing depart angles right? Cut and fold can look slick, but without a custom bumper idk it's worth it? Plus an obstacle that would actually hit that corner, would probably...

    Exhaust down pipe

You have a cat before the cross member right? The down pipe connection to the header, has a little doughnut right? The piece you pictured with a new doughnut should be good... for the effort though (mating and welding it to your downpipe after cutting it) might be worth the full down pipe to...

CB pros, I've screwed up my ant

Sorry for the interjection, all the convoluted side talk isn't helpful for the Op. I'll see myself out and do some research on what might work for my setup. I did find it interesting that jeep jamboree has gone away from cb and requires gmrs to partake.
