i thought MY jeep looked weired on stock tires, those are only 1 size larger than the ones on my civic. what does it do in 4-LO?

it is the transfer case i have. "This transfer case gives the following operating modes: 2wd, 4wd with the center differential open, 4wd with the center differential locked, neutral, and 4wd low range (center differential locked)" from this site...

you would be much better to go with the 242 it has: 2wd, 4wd full time (just like the 4wd in the other tranny), 4wd part time (for offroad use) and 4-LO. and in 2wd you will get greater fuel economy.

man, those are far higher than here in maine, the lowest here is 3.82 for regular.

i think it had a point, but they were putting a stereotype on offroaders in general, claiming that they just went around thrashing any land they could find. while some people may do this, alot of people dont. ORV drivers in offroad clubs respect the land and clean up the trails that they go on...

hey, are these the bumper caps that go all the way from the bumper to the rear flare? not like the older ones that just cover the edge? i need the later style rear bumper caps. PM me with pictures please

i dont know, looking at the value of all of the modifications and the fact its been really well taken care of, i'd say 10,000 is appropriate. im sure hes put more than that in just modifications alone. however, i dont know of many people who have that kind of money to buy it.

do you have the rear bumper caps as well? or are you getting rid of the front because of an upgrade? if so, lets see your new bumper

i have a briarwood as well, 1991. it has an upgraded trim package with the wood grain, all leather seats, power everything (amazingly they still work) and the 4.0L HO engine. it was supposed to be the "luxury" version of that year, and i go and put a lift on it and beat the living crap out of it.

you will have to show me exactly how you made it, i have a 4' boat CB antenna i would like to use, but not sure what to do for a mount. (its me from midcoast)

i too have this problem, pull out the switch and it blows the fuse instantly, checked all light sockets, all are good (even REPLACED the passenger rear one) im pretty sure it may be the headlight switch. but how do you take it out! there is nothing i can find between 3 manuals, online or...

is there any way you could modify this to fit onto a pre-97 jeep? also, any pics?

i did not realize until looking at the parts catalog that it is a hydraulic clutch, no cables involved. :doh: what type of fluid is it? and where are comon leaks? if this is the case we may be able to drive it right off the parking lot where it's stuck.

this is a new problem to me, i dont have much experience with drivetrains and transmissions. what im asking is what kind of transmission he has, it's a 1990 cherokee sport (i think) 2 door with the 5spd manual, i believe the np231 transfer case. i believe he has the Aisin-Warner AX15 5-speed...
