    Grinding sound in steering column?

    When I turn the wheel to the left, I can hear/feel a metallic grinding sound somewhere in the column/down the steering shaft. This does not occur when I turn the wheel to the right. I checked, and power steering fluid is plenty full. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
