I am refering to the thing that allows you to put a regular shock .i.e. so you won't be limited by the XJs stud configuration for the front shocks. They usually run about $35 for the pair
sorry for the confusion
I have a 3 inch lift and it's time for new shocks...I want to run ranchos...is it worth buying the shock adapters I see in JC Whitney etc...Is there any advantage?
I am in the process of finding out why I have an intermittent wobble in my front end (not speed related)
The first thing I noticed when moving things around is the front stabilizer bar can move left and right (through the bushings) by hand.
Is this suppose to happen?
Should I assume the...
the wobble can happen at low speeds (30MPH) up to high speeds (70MPH)
when it does wobble it feels worse in a low speed...as if a nut was loosened...and then it will go away if I make a turn or slow down and speed up again
frequently my steering wheel as I am driving will shim...sometimes when I'm driving straight, around a turn, etc. It comes and then goes....when this happens the jeep does not veer to the left or right....it is just that the steering wheel woobles.....
I know I need new brakes and tires are...
thanks....yeah the Hayes book can be pretty light on detail....
but with the o2...do I need to have anything in car's computer reset or do I just set it and forget it?
I have 125000 miles on my 98 XJ
I never replaced the o2 sensor...my mileage is not what it used to be and did all the other general tune up stuff
Should I replace the o2 sensor
Is it a simple replacement (like changing an oil filter) or do I need to do something else?
I never replaced the...
good lord.....
thank you sir...
I am pretty sure the hot/cold temp dial works fine...
I'n gonna double check, follow advice....let you all know how it goes
thanks again
actually...I am not sure it is low...but
it doesn't get cold...but will defog the windshield so I am assuming the compressor works.....is this correct??
I believe my a/c for my 98 XJ needs to be recharged...
Is there a website that shows exactly what to do?
are there any recharge kit recommendations?
TIA
