While this mod looks cool, I'm not sure how functional it wil be. The hood will obstruct a lot of light. The best placement is always in front of the bumper, but It you dont have any room there, or just dont want any more there, I would suggest mounting on a roof-rack or light bar. Just my .02
I run the 4x4 syn/conventional mix in my 96 with 82K. Been running it since 65K. Change it every 4K. Its a lot cheaper than the full syn, and has some of the benefits from both conventional and synthetic. However, I will be going to full synthetic soon. I just dont believe the mix can be as...

I recently replaced my radiator. Unfortunately the tranny oil cooler line had a leak and I lost a ton of my old fluid. So, I bought it to the dealer and they flushed the system and replaced the fluid. Its nice and red now. My question is this.... It is recommended that we use mercon/dexron...
Not sure if they have them, but Jack-It in SLC are really knowledgeable and cool guys. They also consistentyl cost less than most shops. Try giving them a call.
My reasoning was... if pumpkins are so strong, why are diff covers so popular. It's fine if thats what they wanted to do. But they were telling me it's fine to do it. If I would have attempted this trail, I would have deffinitely have hit it hard. They were all encouraging me to do it...
