Is that the only tranny option for that year? The only reason I ask is because I hear about them lasting forever, and mine has crapped out before 100K.

Ok I feel like I am gonna get flamed for asking this but here goes. I am trying to figure out what transmission I have. I have a 99xj, 4.0, auto, 2wd. Any ideas? I cannot make out the tag on the tranny. I can tell you everything about my YJ, but I know nothing about this XJ. AW4 or 43le?

the lurching has gotten unusually bad. it happens in reverse and drive, I have not attempted the lower gears as of yet. It seems that I really cannot move it at all, let alone drive it. All of this just as I am rebuilding my YJ tranny!!!
