I checked and cleaned the connections to the starter motor, solenoid and relay, whacked it with a hammer 3 times and it started right up. Safe to say I need a starter. Thanks for all your comments. You guys sure are helpful.

Cancel that. Shot some dielectric grease in the CPS connector, plugged it in and out about 10 times and cha-ching, it starts right up!

Working on my 'no spark' XJ today and was wondering what the resistance on the CPS is supposed to be on a COLD engine. I can only find specs of 125-275 Ohms, but that's for a HOT engine. Can anyone help me out? FYI, I've replaced the Coil and Ignition Control Module already. The CPS is my...
