How are your rear brakes? Renix (I believe) refers to the engine control system on the pre Chrysler Jeeps. I run 31s on the 87 style fronts and 87 style rears which are 10" brakes. When all is good it stops just fine.

The MJ has a foot actuated parking brake. The XJ has a hand actuated parking brake that would be in the way of a bench seat. I suppose you could delete the hand brake of switch to foot to put in the bench.

Are you talking gross lift or net after putting 1.5 to 1 rockers into the equation? Do you remember what valve springs you used?

What exactly do you use for a throttle body? I know that 88 used Renix TBI and I've looked at mine and don't think I can open it up much.
