Sorry for the hijack too maybe I'll make a build post some time for the whole vehicle. To answer your question yes the eq is just a remote display that I used 3M trim tape to secure it to the dash in place of the vent.

I lost track of the cost around 5,000.00 and yes its a ELO touch screen that runs off the laptop.

Its not a dd. its usually disassembled during the winters for modifications and repairs. In the process of adding a second alternator and bypassing the computer and adding adjustable voltage regulators to handle the electronics at low speeds on trails.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I don't have any kids and my pets are a part of my family and I treat them as they were my children.
