anybody hacked up an overheard console?

Andy: (Note to our moderators - I don't know how to take this part of the thread private!) I lived in Warminster for 18 years - I moved up here in October 2006. Did you know a guy named Arnold ("Art") Smith, KA3NTZ? He lived right off of Davisville Rd. on the Southampton side. He's now a SK...

anybody hacked up an overheard console?

Andy: I haven't been out to Hershey in a couple of months (damned gas prices running from $2.999 to $3.199 around here, and my XJ gets 16-20 mpg!). Mom lives in Annville, home to Lebanon Valley College and Ft. Indiantown Gap. Annville is about 10 miles east of Hershey. I'm at my "weekday"...

anybody hacked up an overheard console?

Wouldn't adjusting your antenna height mess up your SWR (antenna match for non-hams)? I'm in the process of installing an early-style overhead console in my '92 Laredo, but have run into some wiring problems (see related thread) as far as knowing which wires go where in order to make the...

What do the wires go to on my overheard console?

What do the wires go to on my overheard console?

I'm doing the same thing to my '92 Cherokee Laredo, adding a boneyard overhead console that it didn't originally have. My problem is the blue wire with a brown stripe on the small black connector that goes behind the right kick panel from the roof harness. My Cherokee's corresponding plug is...

    Compass/Temp sensor!

I just disovered on my '92 Laredo, the underhood wiring for the outside temp sensor IS there (and so is the plug behind the kick panel). What I had to do was to remove and pull aside the underhood fuse panel, since the plug was hiding underneath it, and it may be hiding inside the wire loom...

    Compass/Temp sensor!

I was in a junkyard in Bucks County, PA today (about 40 miles north of Philly) and got an overhead console out of a '91 Cherokee Limited for $25, as my '92 Laredo didn't come with an overhead console, but did come with the infrared remote keyless entry option (but the seller didn't have the...
