I'm leaning towards a PCM issue. I just took it for a beating on the road this eve for 3-4 miles. With the converter locked in 3rd if i slowly roll into the throttle just hard enough until reaching wide open to keep it from unlocking it doesn't sputter miss or anything, so its not a fuel volume...

On my 96 that i had problems with That is where Pins A31, A32 ground. Just throwing out something for him to check since it looks like most everything else has been looked at.

Have you checked the grounds on the rear of the engine block on the passenger side. They ground right where the dipstick mounts.

What do you mean when you say swap everything? I have the 99's engine, trans, in the 96 now. I haven't put the tcase in as i want to get the other issues figured out before i waste time assembling the whole thing and need to remove it just to get to something else to fix the problems.
