    cheap rear bumper

I've got an Olympic bumper I'm selling off the back of my old XJ. Its got a few dents in it from trail use, but its not too bad. It ties into the rear unibody where a factory hitch would bolt, and it has a hitch built in. I'd like to get $50 for it. My XJ is down in Westminster MD, right...

    knocking when climbing steep hills

When you get it running again, put it in gear and do a "brake stand" (I.E. one foot on the brakes, one on the gas). If the motor looks like it wants to come out for a visit, the motor mount/mounts are shot. Good luck man! MIke

    knocking when climbing steep hills

Don't rule out the chain in the T-case slipping under load either. MIke

    stummble and hesitation under acceleration

Different motor, same scenario. On my old XJ (89), the vacuum line from the MAP sensor to the throttle body had "sagged" due to heat and caused a stumble under acceleration. I never pulled the plugs to see what it was doing, though. Worth a shot anyway! MIke

Selectable Lockers from a Durability Standpoint

Whatever you do, DON'T buy an Electrac! I had one for about 2000 miles before it decided to grenade and take out an axle shaft to boot. I've read many write ups from people who couldn't get them adjusted to work properly, and the instructions that came with mine even omitted the step of how to...

i found a wrecked KJ, WHAT PARTS of rear disc brakes needed?

Libo's have rear coils, not leaves. I would, on the other hand, grab the whole axle, just to have the shafts, all the brake parts, and maybe even a spare carrier to weld up :rof: MIke

    XJ 44's and Wagoneer 44's?

I'm running the Waggy axles in my XJ. The rear 44 is a bit narrower than an XJ 44, but it bolts in with the factory spring perches from the waggy. You will need to make new shock mounts, though. You obviously have to get all the brackets welded onto the front 44. My factory front DS works...

32's (31.5 actual) on a 3" lift? Anyone have info or pics?

Brand of lift and wheel backspacing play a key roll in this set up. I've done a few XJ's with the RE 3.5" standard kit and 32" BFG AT KO's on 15x8" factory Canyon TJ wheels and they fit perfectly. Guys usually end up with a little bit of a shackle lift to level out the rear, but other than...

    doorless speaker box?

Differences in Rusty's or TNT's longarm setup?

I love my early TNT kit. You gain better clearance from the TNT kit. The arms tuck up in between the rails where as the Rusty's kit sits somewhat below the rails. The TNT arms have a bend in them where the uppers meet the lowers and don't hinder ground clearance at all. You also have to keep...

    Custom "s" pipe

See if you can find one from a TJ with the 4.0. The pipe actually snakes around the front of the oil pan. I'm pretty sure it would be a bolt on, and maybe be a little cheaper/easier than going through the hassle of making one yourself. Crawl under the next TJ you see and check it out. HTH MIke
