trying to lift the motor, with a 4x4 across the front of the pan, not touching anything else, the crossbolts dont even move around inside the mount AT ALL. and the mount itself is shot, theres no rubber left in the top portion of the triangle, the crossbolt is dropped halfway down the mount...
no AC anymore, i was sick of my alternator going out from being down in the mud, i removed the ac, and put the alt in its place. i love how my belt runs now. in a good V, with all the pulleys being wrapped by the belt alot more than stock
yeah, i hear ou guys, but the engine doesnt move at all, i cant get the crossbolts out withou poundiing them out, and then the new mounts have new rubber which is much higher than the old mounts, they will never go in. without the engine lifting up at least a little bit, and with the jack under...
ive pryed at the mount, and ccan lift it, but it goes right back without pressure being held on it, and can only move it a small amount, but seems like the mount is loose in there.
I lifted it up a good bit, ill try more tomorrow if i dont come up with another solution, but probably a good 4-5...

turn signals radio, lighter, dash lights, wipers, rear wipers, do not work, jeep starts and runs, headlights work, WTH? am i missing a fusible link or something. really need to get back and running.
like it says, replaced the headlight switch, now my turn signals and radio wont work, everything else has power. dont know why, went through all the fuses none blown. WTF!!!!!????????
UPDATE!!!!!!! i found today when you pull the lower alternator bracket. one of the bolts is sealing pressurized oil in the system. without it, you may leak ALOT. i did not recognize this when i did it.

also go through all the bulbs on your truck, when i got mine had major electrical issues, really weird stuff, cleaned all the corrosion and cleaned the grounds and voila!!
I do alot of stomping around in the woods off the trail, well ive poked holes in my radiator from big ass branches while pushing through heavy brush. i want to build a grill so that cant happen.
my idea was to use expanded metal and just paint it, what do you guys think?
how do you setup a temp gauge for the tranny? where do you plug it into to get a temp?
what is a cheap way of doing this? pretty much spent all the money i can this month on my truck, but if i could find all the stuff i need for less than 20$ that would be awesome.
The only way i could get mine off was with a 4 way tire lug wrench. one of the lug sockets is the exact size, with the 4 way wrench you get twice the power into the bolt.
well got it all mounted, now my belt does a nice "U", i like the congiuration. the engine seems to rev much faster, havent driven it yet cause im still installing new lights, and finishing my new grounds, and new crimped cable eylets for the winch.
