    No start left me stranded.

If you buy a new CPS, get a genuine Jeep CPS only. The premium one from NAPA quit on me 2 times. I put a genuine Jeep CPS and not a problem since. They are around the same price as premium NAPA too. Here's my ordeal. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1106268

    Flex Plate Question

http://www.atp-inc.com/ This is the one I bought for my OBD1 95. It seems more stout than the Omix-Ada I had in there before. Check your favorite search engine for the part number. Summit and Amazon are a couple of places. The 4 cylinder and the 6 cylinder engines use the same part number...

    CA SMOG, HIGH NOx

Brought to have a diagnostics done on it. They welded up a small hole in the new catalytic converter and replaced the MAP sensor as it was lazy. Persistence and cash can fix anything.

    CA SMOG, HIGH NOx

Round #3 failed. Did all the things mentioned in my last thread.

    CA SMOG, HIGH NOx

Smoked the neighborhood using the Seafoam. Found the cracked exhaust manifold everyone speaks of. Putting Thermosteel/Quicksteel on it as a Bandaid fix to pass smog. I have an APN header I'll be putting on next week or so. Tested the CTS and it passed. Less than 1000 ohms at operating...

    CA SMOG, HIGH NOx

I went through all the schooling for CARB/Smog and was ASE certified in 8 areas. I don't have a problem with Bosch. The NTK I put in there 2 years ago crapped out. Yesterday I found a small crack in my down pipe and it wasn't tight up against the doughnut. Welded the crack and tightened it...

    CA SMOG, HIGH NOx

Throwing this in here for info only. Putting my stock 95 XJ on this list. I failed for NOX, installed a Bosch O2 sensor and Walker 80905 CA cat. The NTK went bad within the last 2 years and somewhere in there 1/2 the cat blew away. Failing with NOX in the 750 range on low and high speed test...

    Smog Questions

It was sold in Arizona. I don't mind the crawling all over just the no pass no free retest like they were in the past. I do get $30 off from the next one.

    Smog Questions

95 Jeep Cherokee 4.0, 4x4, federal standards, automatic, 175K, OBD I. Falls under the STAR program this year. Catalytic Converter (rattles pretty bad) Can I just get a federal one? Why does it require a "professional smog tech" to have one installed? The (new) guy where I go to get smog tested...

    Differences in CPS?

I just went through this rigamarole. Stick with a Mopar one. Mine is a 95 with the oval connector and 3 pins and paid $80 at the dealer. I also see them on the web for around $55. You most likely need P/N 56026882. They might also list 2 of them at the dealer, one for high altitude and one...
